Well, if the forecast it to be believed then it might be almost summer again tomorrow. Shorts in October would be a first !
How about we have a bit of a lumpy start and then a flat run to home ? Something a bit like this:

Ashwell-Therfield- Barkway-Meesden-Arkensden-Strethall-Fowlemere-Meldreth-Bassingbourn-Ashwell (46 miles if we skip the station road loop at the end, 48 if we include it)
As we are going past the door, we can also do at El Cafecito in Fowlmere if we are in need of a caffeine/cake stop
