  • Hi.

If Sunday 28th is a 100 miler, what time does it start?
  • Hi Tony
ALL 100 mile rides start at 8.30am from the garage.
Hoping for good weather and a tail wind if any on the return leg. If the wind stays as it has been the last 2 days it will be perfect.
    see you then.
  • Reminder to all......we will only do the 100 mile IF the weather looks moderate to promising.....if it is tipping it down there is no fun in starting off wet through........let's hope for a good one......see you at 8.30....
  • Metcheck says - light winds 25 degs !
  • oh, & light rain in the afternoon... but still hot
  • sounds pretty good then...thanks Tim
  • All change, still warm but rain from 10!!
  • moral of this saga.don't take any notice of weather reports...only 6 turned up I suspect because the rest were not looking forward to a soaking....as it turned out it was a beautiful day. We all decided to spin the legs till 9am and ride with the rest of the club We all had a great ride and our med. fast group did 54 miles at 19.5,,,,,welcome to Adam Higgit and even newer rider James, who came on audax bike prepared for a 100 and stayed the pace ..brilliant ride James and welcome..........
  • If i put anyody off this morning with my updated weather report, I apologise, I was only trying to help :-)

But as Geoff says, wot do the met know, it was a glorious ride with low winds and sunshine????
  • Thanks very much, Geoff - and to everyone else for giving me such a warm welcome. It was a cracking ride, and I'm looking forward to doing some more over the summer.
  • Hi it's not James here! I'm another Adam (Bailey) and would like to thank you all for an enjoyable ride today. You can, of course, call me James but I can't guarantee a response. Next time I shall endeavor to bring less luggage! Did anyone end up at a pub? I heard a rumour but couldn't find anybody. See you in a couple of weeks.
  • Myself, we popped into the Bushell for a refreshing soda & Lime :-)

Adam (AKA James), I have put a shirt aside for you, let me know when its convenient to pop round and collect, drop me an email tim@ccashwell.com and let me know.
  • that should have said 'myself, Adam H, Andy I & Malcolm popped into the Bushell...'
  • Doh!!!!!!!! Sorry Adam.....senility or deafness or both kicking in.....Phil and I rode round all pubs Tim.where were the bikes?????
    oh well........saved a few squillions.........cheers
  • leaning against the wall in the garden?? we did have a quick debrief at the garage first though...
  • sneaky Tim..haha.if anyone wants to have another stab at this 100 mile Ely route before the next on 28th July we can always pick week after this say 12th or 19th July......any takers????
