good ride today, went a bit mad on the way back! 3 of my 5 mile splits were over 21mph...ouch! carried on wearily and did the 100@17mph despite a few stops etc
cheers all
what a great ride first long one for a few weeks my legs started to go after you put hammer down just could
not keep up (to much xmas booze & food ) got back with 85 miles 17.3 ave so a good start to the new year.
not sure about next sunday my sunday as my son is down from manchester with the family
see you all later.
14 I think out on the medium/fast ride to Grafham, ably led by Trahern. Robbie peeled off early to get back. Weather just dandy for January.
A big group with steady rotating up front. Phil A broke his chain - is that two in a month? Bodged back together whilst Trahern bemoans the quality of Shimano chains over KMC and we're off again - with Phil promising to take it easy in the small ring to be safe....
Bumped into some St Neots CC riders near Kimbolton. And I think the St Neots Tri club.
Got to Grafham and a couple of fellas were feeling the pace a bit. It was good to see the group working together to keep everything together: trying to put those that wanted a break in the middle or upfront on the climbs. When back on more familiar turf it started, as can be expected, and Andr
Thank you all for being so patient whilst I "bodged" my SHIMANO chain back together, it has now been consigned to chain heaven, and yes it is the second breakage in as many weeks - Trahern, the KFC is on order. Always enjoy that route....Cheers.
It was my friend Martins first ride with the club. Thank you all very much for helping him along. We split from the pack at about halfway but Martin made it back to Ashwell. He did not give up or complain once 66.8miles 16.4ave. For an occasional rider it was a great first ride with the club. Martin is on holiday for a few weeks, but promises he will be back and asked me to pass on his thanks
