Breaking News Just IN

edited April 2012 in General
Andrew Leveton, CCA junior sprint short distance national track champion, has just won a Senior Sprint competition posting an 11.4 sec. time trial. He has been invited to attend olympic development academy. This is a great achievement by Andrew, against stiff odds. remember, that when he decided to focus on sprint there was very little national recognition of the need to focus on the discipline. That has since changed, but was harder for him because of this lack of support. Well done Andrew.

Just seen this thread....See my post in Racing section too.

Andrew's 11.4 secs was his flying 200m qualifying time for the 750m Match sprint heats and finals which he won comfortably.

Ed was also there and did rather well too.

It's a hard life being a sprinter, ask Andrew or Ed. If you don't road race you're practically a 'persona non grata' !

Congratulations Andrew!! You really deserve this and it SO proves a point! ;)
