What an amazing club!

edited April 2012 in General
Just lately there seems to have been so many interesting and varied individual/club activities all culminating in such wonderful personal achievements and experiences. These achievements are nothing short of remarkable, and to name but a few that have caught the eye of late - LEJOG, The Tour of Scotland, GB selection, A 305km audax, various road races, Olympic Academy Selection, inter club TT's, grass track racing - the list could go on...........and on!

How lucky are we all to be members of a club that possesses such an abundance of amazing talent and enthusiastic riders of all ages/abilities participating together in such a broad range of cycling activities. We even have riders competing nationally (and internationally) for goodness sake. This is truly a great club, and those of you that make it all happen should be applauded - thank you CCA.

And... Phil Adams who will come back from a serious injury (not mentioning the dog) and kick ass in the Primevera after weeks of turbo power!
  • really well summarised Phil...put like that it almost seems a dream and we all know of other events and achievements which aren't headline because they were sooo last year :-)
This is what was hoped for when the club was started and seems to have turned out that way. Thanks for the heads up Phil and as Robbie says looking forward to you winning that Primavera...sorry I won't be there this year to see it......The management team ,parents and supporters are the oil in the machine, but the real engine of the club's success is down to YOU the club members...Your enthusiasm and continuing to push our inclusive ethos guarantees the club will stay fresh, alive and pro-active....GO CCA
  • Phil said this to me on Sunday and, of course, he's right. I was in the car on Saturday and just one half of that day's ride swept past me, a proper blue train resplendent in club colours and looking purposeful. A magnificent sight.
