World Duathlon Champs
Just returned from competing for Team GB at the World Duathlon Champs in Nancy, France. Great venue, great weather,some might say great course - well the run course was but the bike course was very technical, with 180 degree down hill turns, dead turns, ups, downs, tight turns and lovely slippery man hole covers every few yards.
Anyway after a year of hard training and getting a year older I now find I am in the last year of the 59-64 age group so did well to hold exactly the same position as last year (22nd) against all these young 59 year old whipper snappers that have come into the group.
On the bright side I will be the youngest in the 65-69 age group next year. So head down for another year of hard work and see if I can break into the top 20 next year.
