09:00 Club Run Sunday 18th November

edited November 2012 in Club runs
Not sure if anyone has any plans for a steady (16mph ish) ride out on Sunday?

I'm happy to call the turns around here...

Fairly decent roads to avoid some of the winter grime.

  • Hopefully I can a few less punctures on the way over before the ride this week.

Route looks good - Coydon hill up is far better than down on a fixie! Weather forecast looks clear but cold.
  • I am in. Would appreciate something less muddy and lumpy this week.
  • Thanks Matt, that looks like a perfect club run route. Cant join you tomorrow but have a good ride.
  • Ok. I'll join ya then MC...
    Belgium beer training tonight tho.
  • After a puncture disaster ride yesterday morning I'm scrapping the jobs I had planned for today and meet this ride somewhere on route.
  • Well that didn't go to plan, i missed timed getting to Croydon Hill and the search was fruitless from there.

    Wild goose chase

All i saw was John in Ashwell and Cam in a train of three heading out of Bassingbourn.

At least the crowds in Ashwell cheering on the runners made it feel like Tour de Ashwell.
  • Sorry Chris. Didn't get your post til we got back.

As already mentioned the ride split and routes changed.
Group of 4 of us did 2 bridges. Absolutely wonderful morning.

    39 miles at a little over 16mph
  • brilliant morning, legs lasted almost all of the 60 miles before giving up on me at redhill. recorded something like 700 metres of climbing... lots of nice rolling hills and brilliant to finally find out how to get to that nice bit of road down to watton at stone. cheers for helping with the puncture, Gino. New tyres on now!
