09.30 tuns
40 miles , 16 mph ( before wind reduction )
rain stops at 09.00 precisely ready for a 09.30 start
strong south westerly ( 25mph )
look for a sheltered route

  • High seas look dangerous
    Even for a pirate
    Time to stay in port
    And find other entertainment

  • Just John and I out today on a mountainous route (to see if we could find higher ground for a proper headwind). No seasick pirates in sight...
  • Afraid of a littel breeze were you? Call yourselves pirates? Landlubbers and southern softies more like!
  • a fair cop from a hearty crew
    a siren sang a song
the tone was soft and warm and full of promise.....

then the wind dropped and a sink of washing presented itself
back to being a pirate next week !

  • only 6 out on the 9am run, sterling work from the expro mtber on the front and chapeau to the youngsters...didnt catch his name but respect is due. I struggled on for 81 miles and spent the rest of the day asleep! I've abandoned 53x12 rides in favour of seated hill reps up hexton, up to 10 now if anyone cares to join me on saturdays :-)
