A bit of a weird one Easter Sunday, but im sure there will be some out at 9.00 and as youve seen it looks like the 9.30 is on.
Im unlikely as we have a house full of relatives, although if i can sneak out unnoticed ill be out for 9.00!
Ashwell, Potton, Gt. Gransden, Bourn, Haslingfield (Barrington Hill), Bassingbourn, Ashwell
However it was too fast later on - I don't think that was your fault, but that wasn't club run pace (as advertised above). Bob and I had no chance of getting back on after Barrington Hill and no one waited for us so that was our ride over and spoilt really.
I don't know why what looked as though it was going to be a faster group caught us up, sat on the back and then hit the front and wrecked the ride? If you want to train then go on a training ride and don't spoil the club run. Phil was a noble exception and paced me back on once - thanks.
CLUB RUN PACE - the pace of the slowest and those struggling are waited for if dropped - simple really. The Saturday runs seem to manage ok.
Was a good ride did get a bit pacey as mark say's above i got dropped on the same hill took me till the mordens to catch you up.
It does seem to me the club pace & medium pace are very close in speed and since martin went up't north the middle run
has gone due to no one to lead it hence some of the hijacking of rides and i am sure i am one of the culprits.
So forgive me if i push on the front a bit at times old habits die hard but there is nothing wrong with trying to go faster when you can.
see you next week for the next installment.
strappy.
