Ahoy early risers
Clocks change on sat, so turn up at the right time
Also Mother's Day so we will have a break off point

South easterly warm breeze
Into the hills whilst showing off the white legs
Bike upgrades now begin

  • Ahoy shipmates!

Should be there, if I remember to arrange the night watch.

Seas are set calm, warm conditions ideal for a voyage. Mountainous seas to be endured, not enjoyed.

A necessary evil, to get fit for the hilly rides in June.

  • Looking good for a spring time haul around the hills,

Hope the crew will assist in hauling me over them,

    See you at 9.30
  • Half hills, half flat
Just need to survive the first bit
    With help as always

  • Are we heading East first Cap'n? There be monsters.

Might be time to break out the carbon....to offset the winter pounds gained.

Don't forget to set your time pieces 1 hour forward.

  • Ashwell,sandon ,buck land,bark way,barley, great chrishill (ouch ),elmdon,
Then ickleton if I can find it, duxford, fowl mere, and back on the flat

    Green machine having wheels tuned
    Shram wheels for me :-)

    50 miles
No real short cut, but can avoid ickleton

    Bring it on

  • Hi James

Look forward to seeing you all at 9.30am. Thanks for organising.

  • Not out today, aggravated my hip/back with 250 mile round trip driving to Kent yesterday.

Best weekend of the year and zero miles. Very unhappy.

  • Hi to all

Thanks for a good ride today. By the time I got back the average was closer to 18mph and good to be back on the bike after a lay-off.

Enjoyed refreshments at the Maynard's afterwards - would be good to see everyone who can make it there next time.

  • Fine spring day for a ride out to the hills at Chrishall and beyond,

Sandon, Buckland, Barkway, Barley, Chrishall, Elmdon, Ickleton to Duxford,

then the flat back via Whittlesford, Newton, Thriplow, Fowlmere, Shepreth, Bassingbourne, Abbingdon Piggots, Steeple & home.

All very civilised out through the hills and pacey back on the flat.

All the crew pulling their weight - poetry in motion,

Only thing to mar a good morning was the Captain losing his legs and drifting back on the tide to Ashwell and Main Mariner FD missing with back issues.

Does first back to port constitute a win for C P ?

Crew of 11 on the Pig, 46.5 miles @ 16.6, bring on the summer.
