  • Hi Tom
Really great following what appears to be a great adventure. You know what they say ' a cake a day keeps the punctures away' think it was Mr Kipling that said that

  • Tom, amazing journey and I look forward to some more pictures of food and scenery!

Keep the updates coming Tom, it's great to follow your journey, sounds like it's going very well so far.

However, I'm getting a sneaky suspicion that you're only doing this for the pies and cakes...!

  • Hi Tom

Couldn't see a single crumb on the plate you said once had a piece of cake on it! Lots of talk about pie and cake here - you seem to have started a trend
Thanks for the Exmoor shot. It really is a beautiful part of the world
Keep on pedalling and stay safe. (We missed you on the 9:30 ride today)

  • Thanks all for your thoughts. I've made a serious mistake tonight! I seem to have found the only B&B in the world that doesn't serve breakfast!!
Looking forward to PeteT joining me tomorrow.
    Tom
  • Oh no! I hope you've asked him to bring you some bacon and eggs!
  • So that is just a B then ???
  • Great following your blog Tom - the weather looks excellent and the scenery stunning! Fantastic effort, hope the weather stays kind to you for the rest of the trip. Looks like Pete enjoyed himself too.
  • Congratulations on completing the ride - fantastic effort!

And, what a great blog. I think that we'll struggle to keep up with you once you get shot of those panniers.

    Peter
  • Well done Tom on a great effort - memories of '89 for me and very much enjoyed the blog.

  • Very well done Tom, a great achievement!
  • Congratulations Tom!

The yellow bike must be well and truly part of the family now (and probably v glad that those panniers have been removed!)
  • Thanks all for your messages of support. It was truly a fantastic trip, I was so lucky with the weather!
I had a day in hand so did some sight seeing on my bike yesterday. Feeling a bit lost without it this morning as I wait at Inverness for my flight home. (Not exactly carbon neutral this bike riding lark!)
Thanks again for all the messages and comments.
