Club & Interclub 25m TT, Sun 13 July, 9am... All welcome

edited July 2014 in Time Trial
Folks it is the Club and Inter club 25 on Sunday 13th based on the Guilden, Tadlow, Wrestlingworth course and HQ at Guilden village hall.

As you know, we have had a good rumble with BRCC this year but it would be great to win our home event. This is often a numbers game. Fast is good but any ride at all is better.
This is also the club 25 and there are cups for the fastest male and female from CCA on the day. Here is the link to enter.

Now then, in order to make a success of the morning, i need the following…..
3 marshals
2 timekeepers (ill do one)
1 pusher offer
someone to put the times on the scoreboard (probably J Mac after an early start)
someone to do the teas
cakes.

  • To add...

I've arranged permission for the use of the grassed recreation field to the side of the village hall for car parking: to keep off the main road as much as anything else. I will try and improv signage but wanted to say now the council asked we park neatly along the village hall side of the field, NOT along the Edward VII pub side.

Am not around that weekend - but good luck all. It's a great TT, whatever your ability. Go for it.
  • Blinking 'eck BRCC have 25 entries already against our five! If it is a numbers game we need to mobilise!

    I don't have a bike and I'm doing it...
  • On a skateboard?
  • Haha, I should have seen that coming. I meant an appropriate bike.
  • A unicycle? Juggling kittens?
  • I can only juggle three though...
  • I still won't be fit enough to race but I'm more than happy to help out.
  • i can do a marshal position
  • Phil?? why not riding ??
  • Henry & I are in :-)

don't forget guys, entering all helps the points situation regardless of your times (thank goodness from my perspective! :-O).

correct me if I am wrong Tim but the top eight times are taken for the main points and then all other entries are just bonus points??
  • I'll bake a cake and you can put David down to help you timekeep.
  • bleurgh.... i might give it a go, have got a race the day before so won't be expecting a decent time! might do it on my winter bike in full tweed just so nobody expects anything.

    or my unicycle...

    with the kittens......
  • If I don't ride, I'll still come along and shout at people.

    (encouragement, obviously)
  • Even a slightly jaded Will should still do a great time. Only do it if you feel up to it though and we'll fully understand!
  • I gave entered, same as Will, RR the day before not unicycle, but I'll give it my best shot!
  • Ok, thanks everyone.

Skelders, the way that it works is the number of competing riders in the smallest club is the number that score points. I haven't had IRC's entries yet but currently we are the smallest entered club with 18 so if IRC enter 18 or more (unlikely) then all CCA riders will score.
8 is the minimum. So if IRC only enter 2 riders for example then points go down to the top 8 from each club.

I think we are about there for helpers. James is going to be in charge of the scoreboard and Richard will phone through the results.
Me and David will time keep.
Mrs D is going to do teas.
Marshals, Phil, can you do the 1198 junction?, Tom, Wrestlingworth crossroads and Neil, the Guilden turn? Let me know if thats ok and i will have a high vis for you at the village hall.

Cake…any cakes welcome, it looks like we have a large field!

Parking..we can park on the village hall field, but have been asked to park on the Northern edge, that is away from the pub edge. I don't think we need a parking attendant but if we could all point people in the right direction, that would be good.

    Ta.
  • Nearly forgot...is there anyone who could do pushing off duties?
  • Okay for 1198 junction
