Ahoy
Looks like we will be all at sea on Sunday
Not a great forecast
I will be there unless a down pour
Watch the forum
Will shorten ride to 35 miles as well
BBC forecast now looks poor for Sunday, could be winter bikes. Man the life boats! Bring snorkels & fins.
To ensure the weekend wasn't a complete washout, I went for a solo 50 miler based on the Bourn Trilogy. Lovely sunny conditions, barely perceptible breeze, empty roads, Britain at its best.
8 out today on a 2 Bridges variation. 40 miles @ 17.7mph as we had some help from the 'nasty boys' and girl! All stayed together in a compact group and took turns on the front. Managed to cheer on the TT'ers who were whizzing down the hill from the start line. Steady pace all the way around until Tony the Bullet and Jane got the bit between their teeth up Langford Hill, which we climbed at 18-19mph. Thereafter it all got a bit tasty from Hinxworth in the gallop for home. Speaking of gallop, Jane the Vet initially picked the wrong cart-horse in yours truly to slipstream and couldn't urge me to go any faster to catch Robbie and co, but she soon chose a quicker thoroughbred! Too far back to see who got home first, but all disqualified except Jane and me for not having mudguards! Luckily managed to avoid the showers until sitting outside the 3 Tuns for coffee and a cheeky half of zider.
Thanks everyone for your company, hope you all enjoyed it and see you soon.

I will be otherwise engaged tomorrow
Cheers
Thanks
Rupert
Good. I will grab a bike and make sure that I am at the Three Tuns for 9.30am. Look forward to it.
Rupert
Will check the weather conditions first thing tomorrow and post if I'm riding.
John
Good. I'll be out earlier anyway so won't check the weather - it's bound to rain early but should be ok for the 0930 ride!
Rupert
Forecast no better but prepared for a soaking! Winter bike ready.
36 miles variation on 2 Bridges route. Down Everton Hill. Nice and steady 16-17 mph.
You know you want to!

Thanks for a great morning and nicely written up by John. I rode around until my average showed 18.2mph.
My bicycle has now recovered from the trauma of some rain and puddles.
John - thanks again for the coffee at the Three Tuns.
Look forward to seeing you all next time,
Rupert
