Mt Teide
I was apprehensive, but Mt Teide was conquered today.
And I'm a tad tired.
30 miles each way. 2,600m climbing, 25 continuous up from sea level to 2,100m.
Had to stop a few times.
Coming down was hard work too. Through the clouds, got very cold and numb hands. Ended up stopping at a cafe, hot chocolate and got given a newspaper by the owner to go down the front of my CCA gilet.
Overall an enjoyable experience.
Photos may follow.

You'll be ready for David's 5 peaks challenge now
But as discussed last week we do need that photographic proof :-)
First is the high point. You go down a bit on to the plateau then up again but not quite as high.
Second is the mountain from the plateau. The road does not get any further up.
hmmmm, struggling to attach pics. Will come back to it.
