Ride Monday for anyone fancying it
09.30 3 tuns
Will watch the weather before decide route etc
Not riding good Friday, so Sunday as normal and Monday for me
Dry with a reasonable northerly wind
40 miles at 16 mph
Probably head south as done north west to death
Bennington, westmill, buntingford, wyddial and see how we go from there
Good fun on the Bourn trilogy
Bourn, Melbourn , bassingbourn
46 miles at 17.8 mph, flat but faster than normal
A couple of visitors came and went
Not riding nick seen riding
Captain took the first sprint of the year
FD did sterling work from Shepreth to litlington
And again farm shop to the line
Gentle at first, groans from Cap'n into the headwind, average 16mph by Kingston, where brief stop and Jane did some stretching exercises lying in the road, then gradually ramped it up with helpful tailwind. Cap'n calling the shots into Melbourne, where Jane stopped for Matt Damon's autograph, then I gave it a little tap to Litlington.
Uncontested sprint amongst the crew, except for 2 stowaways we picked up at Steeple. They didn't like being caught and passed at pace, despite the fact they were bimbling along at 16mph. I led out, Cap'n beat them in the sprint, then they offered him some advice about his knees sticking out - Cheeky!
Coffees back at the Cap'n's Cabin in the warm sunshine - thanks as always.
Nice recovery ride for yours truly, 200 mile training block completed over Easter. Now for some Florida sunshine.
See you all again soon. Hope you got back OK Jane.
FD now on the Florida diet
No cheeseburgers on one day of the week
No more than two on week days
Expecting the draft from his fine lead out to just get better
Good to see new faces
Lots of talent on show
Knobbly knee from the captain
What's yours ?

As I mentioned on the Shirkers Ride thread, Good Friday is not looking so Good, more like downright abysmal!
With the forecast weather, that is one for bucketeers, not buccaneers.
Fed up with getting soaked, so probably ride Sunday and Monday as well...weather permitting

Benington to Wydial via Dane End and Mundens? Sounds hilly that way....
.....Looking for more gold, then back into the wind?
Might have to be Dr No again. I only live twice - pass the red chianti old man, please.

But St Noets been done many times
See who there tomorrow and head accordingly
Can never get too much gold
Especially on a Spanish galleon
El Cid so
You're the Cap'n, Cap'n. No mutinies on the Black Pig
How about heading east to Clavering via Anstey and back via Pelhams and Buntingford?
Decide tomorrow, depending on crew.
