Jackie in the field and a Whale of a time at Kings Lynn + other TT action on a windy weekend!

edited April 2015 in Time Trial
New member Andy Whale put in a great performance to come 2nd in the Kings Lynn 25 on Saturday breaking the hour with a time of 59:37 - well done Andy, no puncture this time I assume!

Justin Layne, David Woodhouse, and Michael Martin were racing in the Lea Valley 25 on the E2 - Justin narrowly missing out on a top 3 place with a time of 52:01. All of the first 3 were regular open event winners and Justin was only 6 seconds off his own club 25 record. David 12th 53:31, Michael 50th 57:42 (129 starters).

Also on Saturday 4 club members ventured to Corby to take part in the first of the N&DCA series (18.7Miles) and in tough conditions returned with 3 podiums in a field of 88 starters:

Richard Glover in his first outing since his accident & new hip last September won his category with a plus on standard of 3:45 and although he was more than 4 minutes down on his time from last year, overall he should be pleased with his return to racing.

Jackie Field was blocked on her first lap by a herd of cows and ended up on the verge, this almost certainly cost her a minute and first place in the Ladies section.

James McKenzie was 35th overall and 3rd in his category with a plus of 6:07 but gained 2nd place points for the series.

Luggeri was calm and mellow having had his entry for the E2 lost in the post and rode to a plus of 4:45 good enough for 4th in his category.

In other action today Jason Stuart and Steve Jennings were taking part in the BRCC 25 coming 10th equal both posting 59:27 - well done to both.
