After the morning rain a section of Northfield Road was somewhat muddy so it's a good thing MC didn't turn up with his new TT bike. With a brisk SW wind 5 riders in afield of 20 still managed PB's most notable was Luke who's 22:29 was the best CCA time for the season.
At the start of the evening Will needed to gain 7 seconds on Luke to take the Mens title, in the event Luke was 7 seconds faster than Will who equalled his PB.
Bad luck to Robert who punctured in Guilden and also Alastair who punctured close to home but still finished with a good time.
Felix managed to get a PB by 4 seconds which secured victory in the Northfield Trophy.
Thanks to Peter and Anita for time-keeping and pushing, and David for marshaling at Wrestlingworth.

    Evening turned out better than expected and am pleased with my pb to end the season. Thanks to all timekeepers and to David marshalling at Wrestlingworth which undoubtedly saved people a few seconds. Some good banter and a cheeky beer in the tuns afterwards - a great end to the season. Congrats to all winners.

    Fantastic that both the men's and Northfields competitions went down to the wire, really good ending to the season.

    Thanks again to all. Slowest time of the season for me, oh well, I wouldn't have been allowed to display the Northfield cup at home anyway.... well maybe in the downstairs toilet!

    Big thanks from the Fields to all involved in making this another good season of racing.
    I am obviously letting the team down and will probably be relieved of chaperone duties next year after getting dropped a couple of times last night
