Looks like we are coming to summer bike end
Winter bikes and speeds end of October.
Jeremy stepped forward and did a great lead out again today

Captain takes the pirate points this year
    Too far ahead now.
Bici verde, kit di verde, maglia verde

So thanks to all for the lead outs and company
Special mention to FD and sonic for top class drafting
    Good to see Pete2 back
    Recovery ride roasters working well

    Regrets, I've had a few
But then again, too few to mention
I did what I had to do and saw it through without exemption
I planned each charted course, each careful step along the byway
And more, much more than this, I did it my way

    Frankie baby
    Cheers :-)
  • Enjoyed that - nice smooth ride with everyone staying together most of the time. Usual eclectic mix of CCA out and the usual tear up in the last two miles. All good on a fine Autumnal day.

    See you next week.

  • Great ride thanks

Extra thanks to Jane and Nick for a nice lead out which was to be fair more of a hanging on as Jane took pity on my miserable effort

Captain on fine form, my favourite comment being ' next left!!! i think there is a left down here somewhere? surely a left somewhere?

If we did get lost he never said and with this great weather and company who cares

    Thanks again

Cannot work out which character in Treasure Island I most resemble:

Blind Pew - an evil and deadly blind beggar or
Ben Gunn - driven insane after being marooned by his shipmates.

As I mentioned before, good job the weather has been so poor over the past couple of weeks, while I'm confined to port by the ship's doctor. I would have hated to be out in those awful blustery stormy conditions........

  • Ahoy rear admiral nelson
    Come to lend a hand
Jeremy not a patch on you as a lead out man
Stormy seas means best to stay in port

    Sorry to mention the drink
    How are the shakes ?
    Milk I assume

  • Anyone for a left turn ?
  • Sorry to hear about your eye John and wish you a full and speedy recovery

Now where did i put that left turn?

No grog for the Flailing Dutchman or Flying Dutchman in Sober for October -

Our small gesture of support for that worthy cause Macmillan.

Maybe not riding but the pounds are falling away - now down 14 kilos since late May with 7 more to go by spring.

Should still make a decent impression of a derny man even so.

This awful weather should have cleared by the time I get back out on the bike to the seasonal norm!

Thanks Pete2, will be good to see you (pun intended) soon!
