  • Great - Guilden village hall, 8.45am. 07977 652 247

    Good luck everyone!
  • Best of luck everyone for tomorrow's Hill climb.

Currently Beds have a points advantage over us but it's not insurmountable.
  • Good luck ???? for tomorrow everyone. A few too many beers comisserating England means I wouldn't even make it out of bed let alone try and climb a hill. C'mon Cca!
  • Great day out with loads of riders and supporters cheering everyone as they hacked their way up the Clappers. A great atmosphere all along the climb and at the pub at the top too, in the warm sunshine. IRC ran a great event. A terrific way to end the Interclub 2015.

Did we win the series? No idea. But I can see from the board...

    1st overall - Mitchy - Sir Smashington Smashworth, 2 mins 5.8 secs
    4th Luke
5th Will [conceding 0.2 seconds to Luke!]
    9th Adam S.

And Lillie was 1st Lady too with an amazing 2 mins 41.3 secs.

A fantastic turnout today from the club including support from club runners and family. 15 CCA finishers and some of the performances leave me speechless. To see Mitchy flying past the car park at what looked like about 20 mph was an awesome sight. His 2:05 is a course record by some distance and 5 seconds ahead of the field today. Also a truly amazing ride from newcomer Lillie Swan.

Sorry I had to rush off and couldn't catch up with everyone. Today has been a true example of what the Interclub is about with the numbers making a difference and not just the top 8 influencing the result.

CCA won the day by a considerable margin and leaves us in a very strong position in the series - watch this space!

Oh and btw Ruth and Andy, apparently you still have your numbers, if you're at club night perhaps you could hand them to a committee member and we can get them back to Icknield.

  • Jeez, thats some time Mitchy. And Lillie too. Sounds like a great CCA day out.

Fingers crossed its enough for the series!
  • Hello! It's Lillie here, wow what great club results! Just wanted to say what a great day. Had a great first race experience lots of fun and not too scary. Thanks for being very friendly, I've felt very welcome! Thanks to Martin for the kit lend!
  • Brilliant event! I was very glad to get my ride over with early then concentrate on cheering on the Ashwell riders. Ready to do it again next week now!
  • Great ride all, especially Mitchy and Lille with an outrageous times! I forgot how hard these things were!! Let's hope we get the series win too....
  • Great to be part of this series and hope even more CCA will have a crack next year. Go on aver a go!

I can't remember much about the ride apart from thinking it was a bit shorter than I had imagined and people were shouting but all I could see was rather blurry and uphill and where is the ******* line!

    Once again Chapeau CCA and

    Fingers crossed.....
  • Great to see so many CC Ashwell riders, my little girl loved cheering everyone on, has asked to do the same next week. Great event - but painful. Well done all.
  • Great results and effort by all. Should have been there.
  • Thanks to the organisers of this event, not sure if it was BRCC or IRC. Great atmosphere, sunshine, coffee and two CCA winners!
Well done Lillie and Mitch, awesome riding.

Official result from Icknield RC with a few corrections from times posted on the board

The team scores were CCA 404, BRCC 327, HNCC 319, IRC 274, SNCC 143

This resounding win being enough for us to overhaul the previous deficit and take the Interclub series for 2015 by around 30 points.

A fantastic effort and my thanks to everyone who turned out during the season.
