Jackie Field is in action in Wales over the weekend attempting to improve her series standings in Women's Overall and Vets on target. Looking at the start list she has a good chance having already secured the Women's Vet Title.

As current leader in the Women's event she has finally got a well overdue mention in the CTT website preview:

    Went up to this on the Saturday. The HQ was at a small Village where the M4 runs out just north of Swansea. We pre rode the course in miserable conditions. First 5 miles mainly downhill then flatish middle section then nearly all up to finish.
    We were woken by heavy rain on Sunday morning as per forecast and Jackie had to do her warm up in wet conditions but luckily by race start the sun was out.
    Jackie had a great race. Comfortably winning the vet womens race and getting a 3rd in the womens race by just 13seconds. This was despite an unusual late entry from a pro team podium ambition rider who she beat comfortably.
    This still leaves the final race in October which will be the decider for the overall senior women's race.

    Very well done Jackie. It will be interesting to see the updated positions ahead of the final race.
