I know it's a bit close to Ashwell, but I did happen to stop in the Brewery Tea Room in Walkern on the way back from a ride today (almost ran out of gas, needed a chocolate brownie shaped top up) and had one of the best coffees I've had in the area. Friendly staff and a couple of tables out the front to sit in the sun, lovely interior too.

I would highly recommend this place for a visit!

    Sounds nice! Perhaps we could get some kind of list together of recommended cafe stops in the area to make solo rides a bit more bearable? I'd happily add the Manor Farm cafe at Bourn - bike friendly, nice terrace, good coffee with flapjacks & carrot cake in abundance!

    Had great cake in OSO cafe in Cranfield. Really friendly staff & locals.
