  • Just a reminder that round 1 is tomorrow up at the track. Shelton has made a great new course with steps and everything! The weather looks mild and dry in the morning so hope to see plenty of budding Sven's and Sanne's down there.
  • Wow, fantastic turn out this morning, over 60 riders! A bit of a headache with only 50 bibs but we got away with it. Thanks to Dan for rushing off to get numbers. Sheltons new steps were great and Sallie did a great job signing them all on.
We'll put the results up in due course but if anyone has any good pictures please put some on here or email to me.
    Great mornings racing!
  • Brilliant morning. And the rain held off too.

Well done to everyone that sorted everything out... Sallie, Tim, Shelton, Dan Maynard, the marshals and all other helpers. A great set of races. Maybe twice as many people this year than last? It's really taking off. All the kids seem to love it.

Muddy Monsters Round 2 (Hinchingbrooke School) – 7 January 2017
    Event details

The event is being held at Hinchingbrooke School, on the playing fields to the south of Huntingdon Road, adjacent to Scholars Avenue. The postcode for the event is PE29 6GP.

The nearest available parking is in Huntingdon Station car park (postcode PE29 3BP). Parking on the western side of the railway line will enable you to walk to the venue without having to cross the main road. Please do NOT park in Scholars Avenue.

On leaving the station car park, turn left onto Huntingdon Road and walk towards Scholars Avenue. The entrance to the field is off Scholars Avenue through a gate. It will be signposted but look for the St Ives CC flags and you won’t go far wrong.

The cost is £2.50 / day at the weekend. Although this is camera controlled, please note this is a public car park so ensure you don’t leave any equipment unattended next to your car.

Please note that there are no toilets or changing facilities available at the venue. The nearest toilets will be at the Country Park (where the normal Go Ride sessions are held).
  • Another great day out at Round 2 of Muddy Monsters. Another massive turn out. They had to split the races into its age brackets.

CCA did really well. Picking up several podium places. The course was testing: if a bit long for some. But, the kids seemed to love it.

More rounds to come. Not sure I'll be there with ours unfortunately. But there's plenty of CCA riders and families around for support for the next ones, I'm sure.

  • From facebook it looks like the round on the 25th has been cancelled and the one on the 4th March has been moved to the 11th. Is that correct?
  • No, the round on the 25th isn't at Ashwell - the location has been updated. The Welwyn round has been moved to 11th so it doesn't clash with the Interschools Championships. All updates on the FB page are correct.
  • Thanks Sallie. The boys will be pleased that the 25th is still on; they are loving the series!
