Saturday 22nd April - 9.30am club ride

How about going north tomorrow with a reverse of the Madingly route.

Something like Gamlingay, Longstowe, toft, Barton, up Barrington hill the hard way, and back in via Bassingbourn (47 miles).

You never know, the Barrington trench could also be better the other way round !

See you in the morning

  • I think the intermediate ride is going up Barrington Hill the hard way!
Anyway, see you at the Tuns and hopefully afterwards for a nice cuppa

  • You will just have to go up, down and then back up to see which way is hardest ;)
  • Good turnout yesterday for the above reverse Cambridge route. As std didn't exactly follow the route, so a winding route to Gamlingay and then on to Longstowe etc. Cracking pace from the off, helped by the almost lack of any sort of breeze.

After a quick stop by the Barton radio telescopes it was up Barrington hill the hard way and a launch down the hill for a brisk run in all the way back to Ashwell.

So 48 miles at 17.5ish. Thanks all, great workout. Oh and big thanks to Taff who was on the front for 99% of the ride !!
