Good turn out this morning for the two 9.30 rides. 11 headed out on the main ride, with a traditional SE opening through Sandon, Buckland, Anstey and then a slightly make-it-up-as-you-go extension out to Clavering, Arkesden and Duddenhoe End, before returning via Langley, Great Chishill, Fowlmere, Shepreth and Bassingbourn.
After the usual peel-offs 7 made it back to Ashwell, with the sprint being won by Richard, closely chased by Taff after both of them had done good work on the front all the way from Shepreth into the wind - nice one chaps.
After suffering the fresh gravel all the way through Brent Pelham and a rain shower half way round, the high point today was the super-fast descent touching 40 mph on the long downhill from Chishill to the 505, that was a lot of fun!
