Welcome to the forum
5 peaks, 5 counties challenge - Saturday 1st July - ****postopned*****
OK it's that time again this year again.......... 5 counties, 5 peaks, the hilliest and possibly most crazy ride you could do in this part of the world! Should be an epic day out
Details are below. As with last year, we will start a touch earlier than the club runs so start time: 9am at Hitchin railway station car park.
Trains times to get you there are (tbc)
8.44 Royston
8.52 Baldock
8.55 Letchworth
This is the route in Mapmyride. I'll try and do a garmin version in the next few days as this will be easier to upload. Once I've done this if a few people can upload it into their devices that would be great

Details of the peaks on route are
Bedfordshire 243m/797ft Dunstable Downs
Buckinghamshire 267m/875ft Haddington Hill
Hertfordshire 244m/800ft NE shoulder of Pavis Wood
Cambridgeshire 146m/479ft Great Chishill
Essex 147m/482ft Chrishall Common
There will be three stops on route for refuelling. Cafe at the top of Wendover Hill, mine in Baldock and a Tim's in Royston (to celebrate that the madness is finally over!). So far we have got:
myself
Emma
TimA
So add you name to the list if you would like to join in the fun.

So to help myself and Tim with the catering, can you please let us know if you would like to join in by tomorrow evening.
If we don't have a few more people then it's probably not worth running it and we will re-schedule for sometime in late August/September.
Oh and Mc, I still need to sort out the tcx so that's my job for tomorrow evening
Hope you manage to get enough takers.

Still going to be a cafe ride tomorrow though, so we will do a spin to the Blue Egg instead (see 9.30 club ride post)
Cheers, David
