    Yo Ho Jim Lad!

Will decide on the day which ride to join- great to have a choice.
Went out today with the Cap'n for an ad hoc post holiday ride. No fitness at all, after being off the bike for weeks, but happy to be dragged around for 23 miles @ 16.7mph in the glorious sunshine. Happy days.

  • I'm in a similar boat (Sort of speaking).
Looked liked you spent a lot of time above deck in sunny climes. Nearly didn't recognise you!
  • Hi Pete - didn't recognise you either. Thought you were MC!
  • Will sort rides on the morning
Think Andy maybe doing sprint interval training with ANO but he will say.

I did track today, so steady ride tomorrow.

Hi Peter, we did look twice as well trying to decide who it was. Come and say hello if you fancy it.
  • Dry with a slight northerly wind
Could do abbotsley and yelling, fairly flat.
    40 miles 16 mph
  • Ahoy
    YELLING and back
    Pardon?
Deaf and daft on a sunny day
    40 miles at 16.9 mph

  • Yo Ho dearly departed

Most of the crew off exploring foreign parts so bonus solo BH ride today

Therefore it was the best crew of the year so far: no moaning, wheel sucking or erratic riding.

I did all of the work on the front and hung on grimly when the pace lifted.

Plenty of traffic around the twin events of the Ashwell and Wimpole shows.

Lovely in the quiet lanes though and glorious sunshine again. The sun always shines on the righteous.

Ashwell, Steeple, Bassingbourn, Fowlmere, Thriplow, Foxton, Barrington, Orwell, Shingay, Guilden Ashwell.

    30 miles @ a clubby 16.2mph. Exactly as non-advertised.

See myself again soon for another ride

  • Hans Solo comes through and wins the day.
I am sure the moaning at the back will return soon
    worry not

  • Yo Ho Cap'n

Say hello to S Miguel and Sonic for me. The company of the former should cancel out the noise of the latter.

The moaning will re-commence now that back commuting after 3 week hiatus.

So how can you tell me you're lonely
And say for you that the sun don't shine
Let me take you by the hand and lead you through the streets of London
I'll show you something to make you change your mind

  • The rain in Spain
    Is everywhere
About to go and see a very wet Vuelta
    Floods abound
Tough in a car let alone riding a mountain!
    Noah will appear soon

  • Yo Ho sun-seekers

Shame about the rain in Spain.

Been glorious here. Hottest bank holiday ever, apparently.

You'll have to have another holiday to compensate. Do you own shares in Thomas Cook? Or is that Cap'n Cook?!

Be careful on damp hairpins. Froome to win.

  • Got another one soon
Storms stopped as the peloton went through.
Lots of helicopters, motor bikes , cars, new road surface and snaking hairpins.
    Cost 500k per stage.
    Riding it next year.
30km of climbing to top. ( did the other side last year )
    Recovered with local brew
    Hot tomorrow

  • Yo Ho damp squibs
Raining Cat o' nine tails and sea dogs?!
Peculiar weather for the Spanish Main
Tell Sonic to invite S Miguel over for a visit
    Will help alleviate the depression
    And night-time noise.

    Keep smiling through
    Just like you always do
    'Till the blue skies chase
    Those dark clouds far away
    We'll meet again
    Don't know where
    Don't know when
But I know we'll meet again
    Some sunny day

  • Back In the UK now.
Will post ride next Sunday but forecast not looking too good. Will adapt accordingly.

Vuelta routes are stunning, a great inspiration. For next year anyway.

    See you soon

  • Yo Ho

Forecast improving to brighter, but breezy.

Time to blow up your mizzen.
