Andrew
Hope to join you tomorrow night - sorry have missed the first few due to work commitments. Do I need to bring anything (other than a new set of lungs)? Is there a changing room at the school as I'll be coming straight from work?
Cheers
Chris
great turnout the last weeks......on again tomorrow as usual, but we are in the dining hall as gym is set out for assembly etc....come in the main entrance..see you
We are all very grateful that Andrew gives his time to make these sessions such a success and FUN!!!!...........We were rather light in numbers this week and therefore I suggest we stop until early January.....I'm sure everyone will wish to have a break for Christmas...how about beginning again on January 11th through until the end of March...you should all have new year resolutions and an excess of food and alcohol to work off
Happy Christmas to everyone if I don't see you till then
Sounds good, just want to thank Andrew for giving his time and expertise so willingly, much appreciated. Learning loads. If I can keep it up for a while I might be able to shake off my club title of the champion wheel sucker! Thanks Geoff and Andrew, happy Christmas
thanks to Andrew for all his time , the expertise in pain induction is first class ! the worrying thing is I enjoy it !
great news will be more in the new year - I will be there. Great to see such a mix of people , can do as much as you want and feel comfortable. Laugh at me sweating and feel sick ( nauseous ) when sam puts his nose on the floor doing the splits - its unnatural !
The title of wheel sucker finally went to the right person. Sam even drafts on the runs up the stairs ! Funny how he is always covered in mud - wonder why ?
Laughter and tears for £2 , a great new year resolution
Those of us that that have been regularly attending the weekly sessions were quite disappointed to learn this week that unless attendance numbers increase, these sessions will have to be discontinued, as it will not be commercially viable for the club to continue.
This week, for example, there were 7 adults and 7 juniors which meant we just about broke even. The previous three weeks were actually run at a loss.
If there are any members out there who are a bit borderline about coming along (plus lapsed participants) perhaps news of this and the thought of Andrew gently(!) cajoling you into improving your cycle fitness, might encourage you to take the plunge and join us!
Will have a word with my training partner, we could maybe drop our turbo evening and come over, could be another 2 people.......... What sort of things are done ?
wnat do you mean CayoPro.......whisper me your email and I will send details of anything you need........the training is usually running from 7.30-8.30pm at Ashwell School......I open the place from 7-9pm.......there is another activity this week only on Tuesday which is wattbike early season fitness....mainly for the youth section but also for those who are going to race and who want a benchmark of their early season form to measure against later in the year when we will do another.............Mark Wyer of British Cycling and a club member is bringing the bikes tonight..........we are in the school hall and the circuit training is in the Gym
These are still happening until April, so TWO more this Tuesday 22nd and next 29th March. All hall bookings have been paid for so the takings from these will be profit and go towards youth section and club funds...so the more attending the better off CCA will be. Let's try and support these last two well. Our thanks to Andrew McSkinnySkeen for all his hard work and knowledge in making these sessions painful fun :-)

Many thanks for continuing these sessions. I have developed a strange gait again thanks to the squats.
I have been on Amazon but could only find this

Will be back on board next week. The last couple of weeks have been scuppered by delayed trains and bad diary planning.

For information, these sessions as well as improving club members fitness have contributed £504 towards the schools finances.....thanks to you all.
we have made a small surplus which will be put towards the clubs activities.
