Shipping a bike to France

Does anyone have any advice on the practicalities of shipping a bike to France? I’m trying to sort out some complex logistics and am looking at shipping a bike to Foix in the Pyrenees for Sophie this summer. Can anyone recommend any transport companies? Any ideas on possible cost? Any bike hire companies in this area (none on google search)?

    Sophie has been invited to spend a week at a cottage with friends. The cottage/gite is owned by the cycling journalist Peter Cossins and is at the base of one of the big Cols just outside of Foix so plenty of cycling. Although, after a week at track nationals and a week at Assen, I’m not sure she will be up for too much. The local area though looks lovely so this is a bit of a fact finding trip to see if it would work for a training camp.
