9am (not 8am) Saturday 7th Feb 2019.....off road

Looking at the weather forecast it looks like saturday is going to be a little breezy....

....so proposing an off-roader...about 38 miles (...10'ish on road)...suitable for CX or mtb

Please post if attending....

    What time are you planning on being back in Ashwell for? And how off-road is the route, my cx bike has wide road tyres but with the rain I'm thinking MTB might be more suitable...

    38 miles at avg of 12mph = 3 and a bit hours, so 12.30'ish....route is suitable for cx bike...but noting how wet it has been today i'll be on a 29er

    3 out....that became 2....and then 1...trust you both got back okay.....

    stats...38 miles...avg 12.2mph....1995ft climbing....back in Ashwell at 12.18....

    Yeah twas a slog into the wind back to Letchworth.

    All good thanks Phil. I ended up with 25miles and an improved capacity to ride a bike whilst leaning significantly into side winds!
