Looks like its going to be a glorious early autumn day tomorrow, so lets make the most of it.

Couple of options I recon, either East to do the Essex lanes mashup before it gets to grimy in the winter

Ashwell-Buntingford-Wydial-The Pelhams-Manuden-Rickling Green-Wickham Bonhunt-Roast Green-Meesden-Ansty-Barkway-Therfield-Ashwell (47 miles)

Or North to do the Paxton loop past the windfarms

Ashwell-Wrestlingworth-Tetworth Hill-Croxton-Gt Paxton-Offord D'Arcy-Graveley-Gransden-Hatley-Shingey-Ashwell (48 miles)

Bit of a limited cafe potential on both, but for the first we could attempt Poppy's and the second we could do a bit of a route deviation to Waresley Garden centre.........

Any preferences ????

    I'm not a huge fan of Poppys, but am happy to do either route.

    Yeah we've not had much success there in recent attempts, but I would probably still prefer that route whilst the roads are still generally muck-free. But happy to do either.

    OK let’s go with the Essex route while the roads are still good. Might have to be an old school lay-by stop then, so bring some supplies!

    Ok, see you in the morning. Been snuffling with a cold all week and haven't done any exercise except walking, so will load the route in case I fall off the back.
