The opening round of the CCA 2025 Time Trial season was a great success due to a mixture of perfect weather, fast times, plenty of participants and the energy and enthusiasm of the youth section and their entourage (?). With 9 under-18 yo riders, 6 chaperons and 12 racing adults there were a lot of riders on the road and far more willing helpers than usual. The first event of 2024 had 8 racers. Therefore thanks and kudos go to Matt Brazier and his team for lifting the event. Hearing excited chatter before a Time Trial, rather than dread-filled silence, was a new and pleasant experience.
