    Chin up.
  • Cheers mate, don't know the full list yet but believe Henry's Trek 1000 & ALL the mountain bikes.... c12 in total at a guess????.... clearly a planned job as my store is like Fort Knox!!!!!! As u can imagine. On way home now.... very, very upset with life!!!
  • Very sad to hear this buddy. Just get through it.
    Daniel
  • Sorry to hear about this Tim - not good at all.

Any idea what time of day it happened - there might have been somebody walking/driving past at the time who saw something suspicious?

    DavidJ
  • Total Haul 6 bikes. Remaining three are :
Green Gary Fisher Mountain bike (NEW!!!)
Blue Ladies Trek Pilot Road Bike
and Henrys Trek 1000 Red/White road bike :(
  • bloody hell, sorry to hear about that Tim.
Have you noticed anyone hanging around the house over the past few weeks. Looks like they could have been watching to check out your gear. Are the bikes security marked in any way? any distinctive features?
    Lee
  • Horrific, very sorry to hear this, Tim.

Was it just the bikes stolen? and seemingly gone for the best stuff? Either someone who got lucky and can spot a good bike or targeting by someone who knows you and your bikes.

    worrying for us all.
  • Shit mate

Gutted for you. Happened to me last year, so know exactly how you feel

    BAST**RDS
  • This is sickening to read. It's obvious they knew what they were looking for.

    Hope you get some result.
  • terrible news - bad luck mate - get descriptions of bikes on to as many websites and forums as possible (eg bikeradar, road cc, etc) - may also be prudent to post it on other cycle club forums (beds road, icknield etc etc) and perhaps speak to the local bike shops as whoever the lowlife was who nicked them might try and offload them at the local bike shops (trisports, pauls, etc etc)
  • skelders
wow what a shocker hope we can catch the buggers i will keep my ears & eyes open best of luck.
    strappy.
  • thats awful, sorry to hear it. the scumbags. if theres anything we can do to help just shout. good luck.
  • Really sad to hear this news. I did highlight this in Trisports when i was there earlier, which may help if they get someone trying to sell on the goods.

I hope they get the sxxts that have done this.

    Andy
  • That's crap Tim. Hope they catch the sods that did it. If you need a spare bike in the meantime we have a couple (low end spec in comparison I'm afraid)
    Iain
  • mate thats bad. i will pop round later.
  • cheers boys for all your kind words... at least they didn't get my Brompton!!!

Tim's Top Tip for the Day - chain your bikes to the floor!!! its worth the extra expense !!
  • They were trying to nick one of my old ZIPP boxes... it was in the 'queue' of gear they didn't have time for, I so wish they had as it was full of 'Happy Street' kids toys!!
  • just got in to see this Tim...devastating news....bastards is too nice a term...will keep ears and eyes open...sadly sounds like they knew their value and probably have a bent receiver somewhere...sad day
  • Skelders. Sad to hear mate. Now you'll have to tell the wife how much they really cost. Gulp!
  • Lol.... Good point... Yikes

It's all about California now ;-)
  • Skelders, really sorry to hear that, I know how much they meant to you. Look on the bright side though, you will be able to retire when the insurance money comes in!
  • I know we shouldn't swear on the forum but.....BASTARDS!!!!

    so sorry Tim
  • Really sorry mate, I know exactly how you feel, I had 5 taken earlier this year, no one interested, police took finger prints 2 days after they had gone, insurance no help really, still on going, I know how you feel mate, I hope have good insurance mate, chin up fella, again SO sorry !!! FU**ERS !!!
  • May be of no consequence, but apparently there are 'travellers' at Radwell at the moment.
  • Anneka just got home from grasstrack and told me that Henry has had his bike stolen :(

Really sorry to read this. I will put the word out locally.

Death is too good for the thieves!

Hopefully insurance will cover the loss but not really the point.
  • skelders
when your walking your dog up the hill to bygrave puffing & panting you i mean not the dog the call of the road will ring loudly in your ears at this point you will grab your brompton and be hanging on the back of the nastie group once again.
cycling is in your blood you will be back i will even lend you my fondriest to get started again.
    all the best.
    strappy.
  • Hey Skelders, feel gutted for you. It does sound as though you were targeted.
You can borrow my Pro-Machine for your big events if it fits. Pete
