Interclub 15m TT, Jun 26th - riders sign up!
looking for the results of yday's TT on Hitchin site... couldnt find them but found this relating to next event:
Sunday June 26 8am. BRCC IC 15ml TT, taking entries now! Be there or be SQUARE! also see FB for other comments. A fast out and back course with normally a good tailwind home. Shortstown to 3rd Shefford roundabout at the Esso/Tesco express and retrace to finish. A fab route where you can easily keep an eye on riders a minute in front or behind. If we had spare time keepers it would be interesing for a fastest up and down the hill on the A600 prize!

i dont know this road at all, bedford to shefford A road so could be busy,
and has the rather ominously named "hammer hill" about 3 miles in, a close relative of the hill on the primavera circuit by the look of it.
I ride this section of road fairly regularly but normally North to South. I'd say that Hammer Hill is steeper than the Primavera hill (whatever it's called). The road surface is pretty good and apart from the major climb it's quite a fast course. The one and only time I've cycled down Hammer Hill I hit well over 40mph without trying. As you approach the summit you feel like you're falling off the edge of a cliff.
Road should be fairly quiet that time on a Sunday, always is when I come through.
Booked myself in for this one.

I'm up for it too. Looking forward to finding out how we fared Sunday, whether we closed the gap on Beds or not, when results are finally published.
And, i know there were a few people who were worryed about being out of their depth. But look at the range of times for the 30, 1h 10 through to 2h 13. Really is for everyone.
im in.

I registered last week but haven't heard anything, and don't remember what happened last time.
Hopefully I'll see Graham Laming tonight, I'll ask him then.

Good luck!
Anyone know it?
Robbie - you keep pedalling until you get to the tesco roundabout at shefford then come back the way you came - not even you can get lost on this one (?)
Start: at entrance to Cardington Hangars (just South-East of Shortstown), immediately turn left onto A600 (With Care!), and proceed South-east towards Shefford (Via Cotton End, Hammer Hill, Haynes, Deadmans Cross). Straight on at first roundabout (Shefford North) onto Shefford Bypass (A600), at next RAB, take 2nd exit to continue on Shefford Bypass (A507), To turn at Meppershall Roundabout (Just past Esso Filling Station). Retrace course to Shefford Roundabout (A507/A600), take 2nd exit to continue North on Shefford Bypass (A600), straight on at next RAB north on A600 and retrace course to Finish 1 Mile North of Cotton End, just before Shortstown at field gate opposite start.
i was anticipating that "sign on" will be at the BRCC club house in cardington then you have to pedal to the edge of shortstown about 1.5 miles (??) to the start.

The following link should point you to a load of photos taken at the top of the hill.
I thought I was slow through complete lack of talent but it turns out I'm wearing a sail for a top.

Great place to be on a Sunday morn and fantastic to see the club pitch up to say hello. Sorry I couldn't have bought you a cold drink.
Next stop France. Can't wait now.
Great turn out today. I think there were 15 riders from cca. So the force is strong!
