On a skateboard?

All aboard! I plan to be there too - are you doing the regular lap now?

Great ride and good company It was Holly's first time out with a club run proper and she finished on 64 miles at 15mph so very good ride for her and thanks to all who helped her. Looking at our route through Manuden on Google maps I think that we c…

James - I would be happy with 6.35 - the earlier the better - 7.45 means I am going to be towards the end of 25000 riders of varying ability which is not great - had hoped that putting a quick target time down would make for an earlier start. Jackie…

Just got my start time which is a disappointing 7.45 - what have others got?

Elmdon looks good to me @ 55 miles and not too far to drive
-
Sounds like a plan Susan & Richard. Will look at the route later and see if Elmdon works as an spot for mum to pick up.
-
Does anyone fancy navigating part of this as a youth or steady ride maybe at 60 miles or so at 14-15 mph? Holly has been let down on a training run this Sunday so is looking for another ride.
-
Thanks John Yes we continued the TdF route down to Rayne - it just kept on rolling so really nice riding. The High Street in Saffron Walden was closed for major road surface work.
-
Enjoyed that. Did a 56mile loop that way with Holly today, drove to Littlebury Green, stopped for Apple Pie at The Booking Hall Cafe (very recommended) then along the Flitch way. Great ride though my routing gave us a few miles touring cornfields t…

Will be there

I'll ride to Great Chishill from Letchworth If anyone wants to join me let me know and we can set a meeting place/time.
-
Tend to agree Geoff - it's a shame that some of the best sportives now request substantial charity donations in order for riders to be guaranteed a place. The levels of donation requested for such as this ride and the Ride London 100 does make it di…

Holly and I have booked our place on the Medium

Just about to tuck into some Welsh lamb:-) I opted for the Medio at 97 miles, met Mickg Martin and also Angela who hasn't ridden with the club for a while but will be back. Phil K also did Gran but I only saw him from the car as I was heading for m…

Thanks for this Phil I have a set waiting for me. Does anyone local to Letchworth have any old tyres on their way to landfill that I could have? I binned the Mavics I had in a fit of pique after Suffolk Sunrise:-(

Accreditation not needed for this session and rental bikes are available. Do come and join us
-
I'd aim to be kitted up and inside the track 15 minutes early to sort out bikes etc
-
We can give Henry a lift + will have room for one more Stef - who should I contact to organise picking Henry up?
-
It's a short film at 1h 36m so should be OK. Will call cinema tomorrow.
-
Cambridge + Pub or restaurant = train for me. Would be interested in seeing if we can get that 4 ticket deal we did on the way back from Wells last year - discounts were substantial
-
I'd like to see it - evenings only for me so Wednesday would be good
-
Less Sunrise more Suffolk Rainfall, very gusty too but the food was worth riding for as usual. Passed a place called Flint Cottage about 5 miles in which was a forewarning of what was to come - should have changed the Mavic tyres that came with my r…

DC Rainmaker's site is great for kit comparisons. The only reference I can find to mixing carbon & alloy cranks is comment no 48 on this page Review which says it's ok but doesn't say who said so. Maybe contact the SRAM tech support dept

Looking forward to it
