I have a room booked at the Racehorses Hotel for Friday evening but no one should share with me unless they are deaf. My current plan is to drive up mid Friday afternoon and I'll have spaces for 3 people and 3 bikes.

Can't make the whole weekend but will join you for Saturday if that's OK

Glad it's not just me who finds those hills tough - after Bison Hill Martin's friend and me regrouped and caught up but both agreed it took a bit too much out of us at the start of the day so decided to solo. Probably should have joined you at the …

7.15 works for me - see you there

Nathaniel Yes - just roll up at the Orange Tree and they should be out - it's an informal thing but they're pretty friendly You will need lights though

Who ended up with places on this, anyone fancy a team dinner the night before?

Chris It can be copied from the online edition here:- http://www.thecomet.net/home/e-edition using Snipping Tool on windows or Grab on Mac then can be posted. If that's not possible for you then I can do it but will not be as motivated as you as un…

Good idea Tom I think Shaun has a 100 miler planned for this Saturday that I'm looking forward to, Sunday is out for me as I'm helping with the Primavera

Great day for me too - I did meet up with some friendly locals and as a bonus managed to sort out accommodation for the Dragon as one of the group had overbooked at the Premier Inn so bonus! Finished with a riding pace of 18.5 but with the long lunc…

Jeremy Me and Holly are going to the Monday sessions at Welwyn, there's already a decent sized contingent from CCA coming along to these sessions and they are both good training & good fun - we'll be there this Monday weather permitting. Would …

Off to Nottingham tomorrow to buy a boat... As I'm doing the 100 I want to start a bit earlier so think I will just see who I can hook up with at the start - I know some Suffolk locals who are going to be riding this fast so I'll probably hang on to…
-
Peter & Karen - are you riding the 100? 7.15 is when I plan to set off but I'm happy to move start time if it means riding with some others. johnR I guess you aren't riding - did you get a refund or is someone else taking your place? Anyone el…

So entry pack should now be in your mailbox and signing on time for the 102 mile route is 6.30-7.45 Who's coming on this ride and is everyone doing the longer route? Would like to ride with other CCA riders if possible - what about meeting at 7.15…

I'm with Stef's idea too.

If we proposed Club, Medium & Fast would we get to different 3 groups - I'd plump for medium?
-
Brilliant news Stef - really looking forward to this and thanks for bringing it together. I will be looking to push myself hard for this one but suspect that I'm not in the same league as some of the others in my group so am happy to be moved around…

MC - do you mean the Shimano Pedals or Cleats last longer? James, I use both Crank brothers and SPD and they are both easier to clip in than the Look or SPD-SL pedals I have used but I've never used Time so can't give a complete comparison I have …

Thanks to everyone who joined our party, I reckon about 22 on the 1st and 23 on the 2nd lap (taking into account me getting dropped at the hill) Thanks Vince for your advice, encouragement and the odd push. There may be a case for three groups but …
-
So Daniel - are you going to join our party?
-
Just to be clear the medium group is not an intro to chain gang but just a slightly less pacey group for those like me who can't hang on to the fast group. There is an intro session planned in May for those new to riding in a paceline - I am sure ne…
