There are a couple more PBs to add to the list too: Craig Dyce and John Cook. In fact, whatever John Cook did would have been a PB, as it was his first ever time trial - good effort. As ever, thanks to everyone running the event last night. Mark F

Many thanks Lindsey & Carolyn. It didn't seem windy at all once out on the course. And thanks for the mighty starting push, Josh - we didn't need to pedal for about five seconds... Mark F

Thanks Geoff, that sounds very encouraging.

Could you clarify what kit is available to order for the club's younger children please? - i.e. not very small adult sizes, which are much too big for most 8 to 12 yr olds, but actual children's specific clothing & sizes. Thanks, Mark F

A good night, despite a bit of a breeze. Well done to all those who PB'd. Many thanks to Stef and Robert for starting & timing duties. Our tandem ride was more eventful than usual - we decided to have a little break and get off (twice), and my D…

There are still only two or three U16 entries so far (of any age) for the Plomesgate event on 24th June, but the organiser is working hard to attract more. It looks like James might have a lonely day there though! P.S. Did I mention who the sponsor …

Have whispered a couple of messages to you Trahern. Mark F

Thanks Tim (as ever) & Robert. There were plenty of noteworthy rides tonight, I thought, and not just from the fastest fellas:- - 14-yr old Harry's long 27. Although it was technically a 2-up, he was on the front for the whole race as a training…

it was 20.5 punters tonight Tim. Many thanks to you & Lindsay. Mark F P.S. Bad luck Carolyn - take out your frustration on your bike at the next event!

For authenticity, I guess you'd really want to find original C-Record pedals - the "aero" ones with integrated toe-clips:- They weren't very popular, as I remember. I had a pair of Shimano's effort at the same kind of concept, and they were quite …

Great event with an excellent atmosphere, and hard-fought racing amongst riders of all ages. Well done. I've uploaded my photos - click >>>here<<<</a> to view them. There's a small sample below too. Mark

I enjoyed watching that - you get a good impression of the pace and the effort involved. I also enjoyed listening to Stuart on the soundtrack - CCA had the best encouragement/support at the race, I'll bet! Mark F

Anna & I will be there with James. Mark P.S. Which brushes do I need Tim - will we be working with oils or watercolours?

I sold it a few years ago to a fella was emigrating to Thailand to set up a bicycle museum (!) I thought he was a timewaster until one day an envelope stuffed with banknotes arrived in the post. There was no signature required, no sender details, no …

I had Delta brakes in the late 80s / early 90s on the bike below. It was quite a cutting-edge TT bike at the time. Delta brakes looked fantastic, and they were great if you didn't mind carting their bulk around and didn't want to actually slow down …

Trevor Jarvis frame with "Fleur de Lys" lugs? Using mad "flying gate" geometry?

Regarding the U12 race:- West Suffolk Wheelers designed a more technical course than most of the Eastern League U12 circuits, with a couple of short steep inclines that were used in the youth/vets/senior circuit, and a tricky woodland section, and I…

Well done everyone, as ever. Very amusing comment over at our friends Beds RCC's forum:- "Oi, fellahs, we've been done by wimmin! They've only gone and made it a vets and wimmin comp. So Newmarket and Ashwell wot did naff all in the mens get above u…

William should definitely come. The team aspect of the event is very loose - the first three finishers from any club count as that club's scorers, no matter how many riders from that particular club take part. So, the more the merrier!

This is the start of the youth race: Theo leads into the first corner, Cameron is in about 5th place.

See http://connect.garmin.com/activity/82524467 It's a flat, fast dual-carriageway but it's pretty exposed to the wind. We were 21 mph out & 30mph back in this example, and only two solos from a pretty good field got underneath 21 mins on the da…

Yep, will edit another short video of the U12s and the start of the Youth race when I get a chance.

Here's a quick video of Stevie, Daniel, Jackie and Anna in the vets & women's race.

Here are some stills from the video footage I took of CCA & friends. Daniel, Stevie, Jackie & Anna in the Vets & Women's race, Noah & James in the Under 12s, and Theo & Cameron at the start of the Youth race. I didn't catch any mo…
