Quite a few people seem to think cycling on the A1 is dangerous. I regularly drive up and down the A1 up as far as Ferrybridge and TTs are a common midweek sight further up but they tend to be point to point from what I have seen.

Have to say I cycled home with a smile on my face. Last time I did a 25 was 10 or so years ago on the A1 and I did a 1:12 something. All without the aid of tt bars/disc wheels/super stiff frame/safety net.Tim,
