http://pictureyourselfthere.typepad.com/files/cca_const_rules_v10.pdfGreat weather and good turn out - 14? A very steady, friendly pace. Terrain very nice around and after Puckeridge way. A bit lost near Spellbrook - should the club buy its own GPS? A few of us broke away after 40 miles to complete our 100km. Bob took…Yes - put my name in the hat for a middle group rota. Once we've got 6-8 names - we could do a rota like how Tim D did the Time Trial Doodle chart?I can't make the full 100 miles on the 26th. But I'll join for the first 40 - thru Hatfield Forest, around Stansted. Then I'll peel off as you approach Molehill Green for Ugley Green and then to Manuden and so on to familiar roads to the Pelhams, Ans…Agenda downloadable here -

Input or ideas? Contact james@ccashwell.com4 CCA riders did this today. Me, Robbie, Skelders and James Davis. Well organised and an ideal ride to build up to something meatier in the year. Good signage, facilities, car park. Good bar at the sports centre start showing Paris-Roubaix. Recommend…Yeh - a great day - fantastic weather. Too hot in the end near the Cat & Fiddle! What great views.
We were an excellent advert for CCA. Leading where others behind were cowering. Pah!

Cheshire catters - I'll look to get to the HQ at 8.00am then. We'll hook up somewhere easily enough I'm sure…There's been two commutes in the last fortnight - and I've had to bail out on both!
I know they've gone well. There seems to be a good trick near London that avoids the A10. I'll post the next time on the forum. They're great training.Sunday 15th March - the first day of shorts. Great weather today. About a dozen or so did the route above. It was good to see a few people stepping up from Bob's group. I hope they will stick with it now the nasties will start racing to keep the Midd…I've just had a response from the organizers - they'll email all riders with a week to go with details apparently.
Aye - I'll be up north and will drive to the start in the morning. I know Daniel is doing similar. I think Stuart is going…Hi - this is the route me and the other club commuters use. Similar but a bit shorter maybe? But does put you on the A10 near the end - hold on to your hats!

With Trahern, Alex, AndrI say 8.30am - and we cycle out Guilden Morden then Wrestlingworth [then up via the longer Potton Wood hill road?]- to meet Trahern. Then we can ride on together - even if that might mean turning back on ourselves a bit. Trahern - you got a route in …How about an 8.30am start? Reckon everyone happy with that - certainly warm and light enough now. 60ish miles - therefore back at 12.30pm?
Route/ride leader? Carmelo? Trahern?
ps Tim - put me down for a CCA capAye - well done to the CC Ashwell contingent and to Ash again for coming 2nd in another race yesterday too.
I faded back to the pack after the first 35 miles - and then missed a turn to add another 9 miles. I needed Daniel's GPS - but h…The Station Road from the A505 via Ashwell Station was 'OK' this morning - so likely fine by now.Heavy rain forecast.
Unless total write-off though - I'll be there at 9.00am and take a view with who is there.So...
Carmelo - I assume a 9am start for 'A' Group? How far and expected av speed?
Geoff - I assume 9.30am start for Middle Group? How far and expected av speed?
Current forecast, 2-8 degrees, mild wind 10mph fr…For those wanting to go that bit further - I think that a 9am start is a good idea - or earlier if the distance is big. Not sure I'll be doing too many 80s though - maybe one or two. It would be nice to coordinate things to meet up others at the end,…Additional xmas ride info from James....
