Just 6 CCA entered so far, anyone who thinks they might manage to be there should book in and you can easily pull out if necessary - if you need an early or late start just let me know.

Booking now open BRCC book to ride - IC Hill Climb

Despite the weather this event ran very smoothly thanks to our close knit team of dedicated helpers (Dave,Jenny,Dave,Sandie,Stef,Tim,Andy,James,Roz) also Robert who did early car park duties and Gareth who kept an eye on my maths at HQ. Flapjack and…

A few have already offered to bring cake, all offers will be gratefully received

HQ is Marston Sports Club, Station Road, Marston Moretaine MK43 0PN.

It slightly depends wether we need to use the road works course or not but roughly the plan is: Dave,Jenny,Dave,Sandie roundabout marshals James D,Andy - start Stef,Tim - finish Roz, James - HQ Gareth as necessary after riding Thanks very much - lo…

The torrential rain and flooded roads on our Wells ride on Friday reminded me somewhat of the 24 back in July. I have just received the official result booklet from this event although the CTT results have been available online for a while: https://…

Thanks all we seem to be shaping up quite nicely - I just need to assign tasks which I shall do shortly.
-
It's the best 19 rides (on points) - with the last race having quite a strong field (94 riders) it may be hard make too much headway and very possible to be overtaken by top performers from other clubs - we'll see Standard course is the plan with …

A special mention should go to Robert who has tirelessly turned out week by week to do the pushing off and foregoing his own best times due to not having a warmup. Also thanks to the Meridian boys Stephen and Kevin who have regularly supported our e…

Thanks very much and thanks to all those who have assisted throughout the season. With the very light wind this evening riders were hoping this would translate into good times but it turned out to be a really slow night. Thomas with his new aero helm…

All cleared up - not raining here, beers at the ready.
-
Ouch! Sounds like very bad luck Brendan - hope things improve soon.
-
Great Stuart, I should be able to drop off the kit with Richard who will bring it along good and early on the night - just checking. Still a marshal and further time keeper needed
-
With only Robert down, this week is looking less and less likely unless someone comes forward soon to run the event. I have the kit and will need to pass it on along with guidance - as Stuart and Daniel I'm sure will testify it's not that difficult
-
We would be glad to have you Chris, there are 2 more weeks. I won't be there this week but hoping we will have folk to run it.
-
Oh I forgot to say that as you went off with your number, you'll have to wear it next week - sorry that's the rule
-
Probably the tension that caused it not your race number!

Anyone planning to ride the IC Hill Climb in the morning would still be able to lend a hand in the afternoon

Come on guys it might well clear nicely for early evening. Jenny & Tim think of the points The main thing is our weather is being dominated by low pressure so PBs will be easy Falafel. Daniel D will be setting up and running the event Robert B -…

Thanks Martin - probably a quick check in and then go to Toll Bar Marshal point.
-
I've got Beds Road down as winning with 236 (7 riders) - anyway we didn't give too much away with an understrength team. A good turnout at the Hill climb should seal the deal. Very well done to all especially Chris on the win.
-
Amazing work Sophie and clearly very well deserved through dedication and hard work.

Hopefully the weather clears a bit by 7, if still set damp we may call it off. I will be there and prepared to go ahead but could be a quick cuppa, a bit of Provenace food and home!
-
I've added my name to the list but after last weekend will be taking a rain check
-
The course for this event will be a modified version of the F15 (Brogborough) as there are road-works on the section SouthWest of Marston Moretaine: Course F15/10E
-
There were 2 big PBs Steve J by 59 seconds but just topped by Andy N with a whole minute off his time from 2016, very well done both.

Great work team and that's a super time Gareth. Looks like I missed out on a fast but thoroughly unpleasant and scary day, I was thinking about you all but never imagined those conditions down South . Robert I hope you're OK.
