ouch! Did that derny bike really have to ride over a cyclist after he'd hit the deck?
-
Awesome :)
-
(I was only kidding, Shelton)
Tandem trike, what! ... nope, my brain has just exploded :) -
Those are the biggest stabilisers I have ever seen
... and is it just me or does a CCA jersey look a little out of place? Surely there's a Rule about this kind of thing -
Thanks, John for that 40mph on-your-wheel buzz :)
Couldn't have done it without you ... and I will miss that when you're as slim as Sgt Pain -
You should have seen Vince fly round the corner at Hare St and into that little climb towards Buntingford. V impressive
HAPPY BIRTHDAY Robbie :) -
Egcellent. I'm in
-
Brilliant! Thanks Andrew
-
Congratulations Justin. Please come back and ride the IC Hill Climb again too!
-
Nice try Theo!
Loved the story of Heinz Obermayer and Rudolf Dierl -
Nice. Strip the front brake, leave Garmin at home and hell, let's go crazy next year and lose the helmet too
... that'd get me under 6mins on Coombe Lane, for sure
Did somebody mention tubs? -
Big thank you to Tim and today's CCA Hill Climb crew!
It was brilliant to see so many ladies riding ... plus 1 v welcome 'outsider' who's promised some extra publicity next year, so we can drum up even more enthusiasm, participation and… -
hmm ... as I said, 'almost ' enough!
-
V nice shots, Nathan
(Almost enough to tempt me into giving it a go) -
Fantastic cow-bell atmosphere on a gloriously sunny autumn morning! About 35 riders took part, of whom only 4 wore CCA colours - where were you all?
In spite of the slim nature of Team CCA, we did our club proud. JP came 2nd with a stonk… -
Oh la la. Just looked it up on Strava and my PB is 4:02 for the segment they call Interclub Hill Climb.
My dream of 3mins has turned into a 'stretch target'!
3-mins-Will certainly deserves his 2nd Cat -
Yippee doo
Can't remember much about the profile of Sharpenhoe, but I'd better look it up ... on a mission to at least match Will's winter bike time of 3 mins. Oh la la -
Hey Wilburstar. Come and ride it with us!
Or if not, I now have a target of 3 mins ... although at this stage I have no idea where the official start and finish points are, or whether yours today will be the same as theirs tomorrow? -
If you want to add on a bit extra, you could head on down to Sharpenhoe Clappers to support JP, Justin, Tim and me at the IC Hill Climb ... and ride back with us to Tuns after
(Our start times: JW 10:38 JL 10:54 JP 10:59 TF 11:05) -
Hey. Big welcome to Libby! About time too
-
Tim, since when have you needed an excuse to build a bike? LOL
-
Can't make it tomorrow, sorry
-
Wow, a weight weenie Vam Polecat! This I have to see
I've just had start sheet by email and it says J Polak is no29, starting 10:59. (I'm no8 starting 10:38)
Tuns set-off time TBC - I'll look up the route tomorrow -
I'm in
Weather forecast is looking good so far. Anyone fancy riding over there from the Tuns? -
Tim conquered Hardknott ... and now that I know it's humanly possible I can (almost) imagine going back for a rematch
With fresher legs next time and less of the lights, food and spare clothing. (Think I'd be more daunted by the descent … -
Thought of you as we (Martin H, Phil K and I) settled into the pub on Friday night in the Lakes, post-Fred, similarly happily exhausted
Well done all! CCA is definitely on the map now -
(Copied over from other thread... )This is an amazing ride for the sheer scale of the scenery let alone the enormous climbs/descents of the Lake District.
Starting in Grasmere, Kirkstone Pass slipped behind us fairly comfortably and the… -
Enjoyed that. Thanks Tim
(Oddly, everything seemed a lot flatter than it was the last time I rode it!) -
Hey that's brilliant news!
And richly deserved. Well done Ant and Bryn! Well done CCA too! -
I'd have thought a new supplier should be able to match the colour and obviously, the logo, fonts etc. Think this is really important for the club ... and something we should insist on before switching from Endura
