Mudguards on...we'll be there!
-
Jane, I agree with Toma, I think everyone will find something different comfortable. Quite how BC have managed to 'settle' this I'm not sure? I recently had a saddle test with Dean Taylor at Fit-me-Up in Hertford. He has a huge range you can try o…

Seriously...everyone should try this. 9 minutes of pain for a whole morning's entertainment, that's a good ratio in my book. You've got to be in it to win it...and that might actually happen! Thanks to Tim and James, and Martin and crew for the bee…

Brilliant event! I was very glad to get my ride over with early then concentrate on cheering on the Ashwell riders. Ready to do it again next week now!
-
Thanks all for a great trip. I agree that I never realised Suffolk was so hilly, thanks David for the maps, it was much flatter going back by the main road. And that bakewell slice was fairly epic. Where's next?...
-
This sounds like an excellent trip out, but due to the crazy hill climb on Sunday Dave and I are looking to do a shorter ride. So...we're going for the complicated option so we don't miss out on Saturday's jolly in the sunshine. We will aim to meet…
-
Sounds good, I haven't done a club run for a long time! As I don't go anywhere north of Ashwell on my own I'd be happy with a route in that direction. Just off to Aldi to see what random stuff they have left...
-
Hi Susan, great idea but unfortunately I can't make Sunday, sorry. Next time!
-
A huge thank you to James and everyone who gave up their time/own ride to make this happen. It was a brilliant event, helped by the fantastic conditions and I'm sure made for many PBs.
-
Looking forward to seeing the blue train steaming down the Promenade d'Anglais tomorrow and hearing all the tales of heroism from the past week. You're going to like it here...not so much the race to the sun (you may have seen the best of the weather…
-
Thanks for the ride, sorry to bail out so early. I can recommend Debden Barns if ever Blue Egg is a step too far. I had a lovely pootle back in the sunshine and finished with 44 miles at 15.5, which my legs assured me was plenty far and fast enough…
-
I'm in...depending on how the post Wells legs are feeling I may drop off at an appropriate point (ie, after the cake stop!) I'll meet you somewhere around Buntingford.
-
Brilliant day out, massive thanks to Martin for organising and to everyone who took their (and my!) turn on the front. Highlight as always was meeting new riders and the spin through Holkham Hall. Low point was the very dark last couple of miles from…

20 welsh cakes carefully and ingeniously packed. They just about double the weight of my bike, so if you see me hanging off the back of the group please help me lighten the load! They might or might not make it to Narborough.
-
I'm happy on the later train too...Dave's last minute packing for Paris Nice will be much easier without my 'help'.
-
What a great days riding! Sounds like there were some variable experiences, but I had an epic day. Highlights: riding the first 20 miles with the Fields, thanks Jackie and Stuart, I've never covered 20 miles so quickly. I managed to recover enough to…
-
Dave and I will be there, and we'll bring cake
-
Adam - I've whispered you
-
Brilliant ride today, highlights were David's courageous attempt at the sprint, and flying home with the wind behind. Excellent point Tim...I finished the day on 81miles, 15 more than Froome et al? Simon- I hope you're not too bruised.
-
I'll be there. Slightly concerned that two of the place names in that list include the word 'hill'. All good training for Ride London...or should I have started tapering by now?!
-
Shame, I quite like that 10 mile bank road. Sorry about the lack of catering support, but don't worry, I will find some way of carrying scones...
-
Thanks to Tim and Kevin for the time keeping. Dare I say it...I actually enjoyed the ride, despite the tractor!
-
I also got 6.54. The subject of the email was misleading - Transport booking form - so I missed the email until I saw this thread. It also seems you must complete the transport options form otherwise your booking for the event will not be complete.
-
Thanks Martin, I'm way too tired to upload photos properly! Badges are fab...me and Adam got the black ones for doing 5 extra miles. There is a long winded explanation, but essentially we got lost!

To echo the above, Emma, David and Tim really hit the mark with the rest stops...much appreciated. Such a good day's riding and a brilliant day out in the sun. Thanks all!
-
Thanks for the update Andy, sorry to hear there's broken bones. Get well soon.
-
I was up for this, changed my mind during the mid-Tumble hell, but seemed to have changed it back again. Dave and I will both be there, assuming the weather's looking OK.
-
Thanks to James, Finn and Stef, it can't have been much fun standing around in the chilly wind. The gravelly bits were horrible, but at least in comparison Northfields was great! Nice to be back on the CCA course after a couple of weeks elsewhere.
