seeing as though its significantly easier to enter the London Phoenix than the BSCC Hilly, I've entered the former, thereby adding one more carriage to the blur train

Good question Dave,
was trying to figure it out myself. The system is a little on the archaic side isn't it! cheques, snail mail, buying a hand book! Have they not heard of the whole on-line revolution?
anyone doing the Bish… -
The full results aren't available yet, but from memory our CCA times were pretty good, esp Dave & Jason, in the over all standings. We should have amassed a decent amount of points. Huge congrats to Cameron, who posted 26.36 (I think), he was the…

tim, someone at my work wants to know how much and "are they in the Bolton end"?
lee -

Tim, did that cheque arrive, posted it on Weds?

Cheers Tim,
I'm going to drive over from Royston, so will aim to get to HQ at 7.30ish.

Just pulled this from the IRC website.
"Please note that the first of the season's inter-club events - the 10 mile TT - kicks off this Sunday on the A507 course. First rider off at 8.01 am. HQ is at Clophill Village Hall"

Hi Tim,
good timing, I'm looking for some wheels. I'm interested. £230 and you got your self a deal

I tried to enter the Hainault RC but its full, oversubscribed even. they've got 14 on the reserve list! anyway, I've registered for the interclub TT on the 10th instead. Will do the CCA Primavera (already given Carmello the nod) and will get my act t…

I'm in. any luck with finding course map.I looked on IRC website but couldn't find it!

I might be in. Was hoping to ride the Hainault RC road race (on the same day) but I am a bit late for the entry. If I cant do that, I'll do the TT instead.
Lee -
apologies for the dumb question, but when you want to enter a race, do you just fill in a BC entry form and send it off (with cheque) to the organisers?
cheers

hi guys, Saturdays are really tough for me to get out, but I would like to race this year. seems that road races are mostly Sundays which is better for me. Is anyone out there doing any (localish) road racing this year?
cheers

Big thanks to Tim D for the seemless organisation. Must say i enjoyed my first time trial, which probably means I didn't try hard enough!! hopefully, I'll manage to get out for some of the Weds events.

yeah, great ride yesterday, although when Carmelo and Tim and the other bloke (Chris) put the hammer down, I quickly went off the back!! had done a nice round 130km by the time I got home.
cheers

Hi guys, if I can negotiate a pass, I'll join in as well
Cheers

Cheers Geoff, I'll be there at 9.

last time I looked though, Alpe d'huez didn't go up and down 16 times, or even up and down, it just goes up :-)

Thanks for organising the kit Tim.
Relieved that the extra tonnage I put on over Xmas hasn't impaired my ability to actually fit the size of kit I ordered when I was still svelt!!
Cheers

Hi Tim, can you put my name down for a place. I've done the medio distance of this event for the last 2 years (pre me joining CCA) and it is a very good.
BTW, any news on when that winter kit is arriving? in time for Xmas?

Hi,
can i put my name down as a tentative at the min. I just got offered a place on the Etape next year, which is the weekend after La Marmotte. Need to decide which to do, or perhaps both! but that will require delicate negotiations and possib… -
Hi guys,
likewise, thanks for the ride yesterday. I had a nice round 80 on the clock (counted as 127km as I've gone continental!) by the time I got home and like strappy my legs were starting to complain 3/4 of the way round. thanks for … -
Thanks for the feedback on the pace. It was probably about right for me, any faster and I'd struggle a bit. A good workout though, I'd done a shade over 120km by the time I got home.
As it would appear most of you are off to Belgium this… -
"and fella in Silence Lotto top - sorry - didn't catch yer name".
That'll be me then. Was that the usual pace on a middle group ride?

Hi, I was one of the "new" riders. My membership form will be in the post today. Really great to get a ride out with a group rather than on me tod and by the time I'd ridden home (Royston) I'd clocked up a nice round 100Km. and yes the white van was …
