It had to contend with an article on the European Individual Boomerang Championships (a sport???) but the Comet stuck us in finally: Better spread in the Crow: (although they did get confused and ran a separate article on an old club 10 event too)…

Yeah email me a TCX file, I'll then create my own in the opposite direction to get to you. Doubt any cafe's will be open at that time on Sunday though, and i think by that time you'll just want to get home.
-
What is your route heading back from Dunwich to Letchworth? Unusually for me I'll be doing an afternoon ride on the Sunday, so sounds like i could head out East and find you guys, and tow you home.
-
Jamie thanks but i can't copy from Flickr, can you email me the best photo you want me to send in, christopherjohnpearce@gmail.com. And for those racing and/or watching, if i get a report this morning i will send in at lunchtime.
-
Sorry David & Emma but I cannot make Wednesday now. In fact I'm taking myself out of helping duty, with a baby due any day from now I cannot be relied upon.
-
A report by tomorrow morning would be good so i can get it sent in. Great photo's, i will send a selection for the papers to use unless Jamie objects.
-
Thanks for dragging me round for part of my 100 miles, but i still don't know why i decided to do 5 miles at the front! 100 miles @ 17.5 ave for me, and in the words of Nigel, never again but you'll probably find me doing it again next week.

Can I echo the comments of Daniel on the TT side. I think a 'come and try it' event on our club 10 course would be more suitable for juniors and beginners who want to give TTing a go for the first time, in the spirit of the TT stages on the tour. Ou…

Have a good one Will. Fair play to the council, i got a response about the road: 'All surface dressing sites receive 3 back sweeps after the works is completed to remove any excess chippings. These take place 24Hrs, 3 Days and 7 Days after the wor…

Sorry Mark i missed that, have whispered you.

Thanks for the notice Tim. 6hr bike ride for me on Sunday now then

Been a quiet week, hopefully the Interclub will be running. Royston Crow: Royston Weekly News:
-
Is Cam not doing the Interclub? If he did it would be a cracking competition between him, Nigel, Jason & Simon Norman from BRCC (not wishing to exclude others but just judging on the IC30 result and the recent club 10 times).
-
Tim is going to decide if its going ahead tomorrow. I have the list of entries from all clubs so if it is going ahead ill be raising the start list. Is there anyone who has not entered on the link above who wants to be on the start list? (i know D.Pe…

Nigel i have just spotted your entry for next month, you're MAD! And your entry for next weekend. The clean sweep for the records is on, good luck.
-
Understood Martin, yes if people just submit a new discussion stating it's a report, I'll pick it up.
-
Will you've got two options: 1. eat more cake 2. tumble dryer blitz
-
I think you would want a decent number, and our best racers, to be at our own events. Judging from the above that is not going to happen. I think the weekend prior would be better, in the lead up to the tour.
-
I drove it earlier. Saw two sorry souls (not CCA) picking their way through it. Totally unrideable. Don't they tarmac it after the chips, or is it left as it is for the chips to be 'driven' off?
-
Would anyone who happens to pass while they are working ask them to find out when they expect to finish? Would help us decide now if it could be run, or not. I'm not local so won't have a chance. On the plus side they are fixing some pot holes in Gu…

Robert must have finally used his bars to full effect!!! Yes Nige that's the quickest, just quicker than Cam's from a few weeks ago. Apart from everyone being fitter and quicker the weather is also playing a part now, high pressure. If you look at th…

Luke - it's too late to enter any Open 10's, there aren't any local ones anyway, so it would have to be a club 10. When you say decent i assume you mean fast, rather than say a nice scenic route, you don't have time to admire any views anyway! For t…
-
Tim, I've had people from other clubs ask where the HQ is and when the start list will be produced. Can you confirm please?
-
Will, yes it's definitely a 2.30pm start, they do that a few times, what else would retirees be doing on a Wednesday afternoon! But you have to enter in advance, old fashioned form and cheque, deadline to receive the entry is this Saturday 6th. CTT f…

Luke, great idea, in fact i had passed this onto the powers that be months ago as i really rate what Impsport do, and raised it again to Mark after the AGM. For the moment he wants to stick to Endura and give them one more chance. Personally i would …

I've had a request from the papers for photo's from this event, so who can do the honours please? Stuart would you be around? Or Nathaniel?

Myself and Justin went to the VC10 club 10 in Tring, on the ultra fast F11/10. We both went out on a full recce of the course, as i wanted to avoid a repeat of last time (see above picture) and dodge all the potholes. I don't think Justin had ridden …

You're about to experiment whether you can survive 300 miles & 29,000ft climbing over 3 days, of course it's the right time! Good luck all.

Nathaniel i learnt to index my gears here by this pleasant chap Tried it on Saturday and worked fine and is surprisingly easy. Save yourself the £££!
