Superman pulls on a special costume and, hey presto, has super powers. The CCA shirt has similar qualities and undoubtedly this got me through the Cheshire Cat last week; however there are limits to such powers.
If I am honest with myse… -
The results sheet is, to say the least, bizzare. My split times are correct, but they have simply added up the cycling time to give the overall result. Surely your time should include stuffing one's face with sausage rolls at the feedstations? My …

Martin,Robbie - I'll try and join you (if I am allowed out to play). I'll text you either way. Daniel

Search on the rider numbers; Daniel 657, Iain 841, Peter 951, Phil 1303, Martin 1383, Robbie 1379 -
What a great day! Martin is undoubtedly the 'man of the event', and I don't just mean of the CCA riders; THE WHOLE EVENT. Not only did he climb Mow Cop without complaining, but he led the peleton to each feedstation (okay Robbie helped). Then when…

Martin, I will happily accept a lift from you. Thanks. Daniel

I hope it rains. I do have a CCA kagool, a CCA shirt BUT no CCA jacket. (I got kit purchase fatigue in the spring of last year).
Okay, rendezvous a chez vous (Waverley) 07:30
Ciao, Daniel -
Hi Cats,
Do we need to get organised anymore than simply meeting beforehand? Is 20 minutes before the roll out time good? (When is that by the way?)
From the above I count a team of 6; Iain, Robbie, 'Ribs' Lawless, Phil K, Pete… -
What time does the event start, 09:00?
It was a very cold wait to get through the start gate last year; it took me 10 miles or so to feel my fingers again! -
I was shot by the time I reached the podium! My start number this time is 3533, what's yours? Daniel
-
...or a double espresso 5 minutes before your start slot!
Daniel -
Yes, I am going. Where are you staying James? Daniel

COOL link! Vale Street, Bristol is identified as being 1:2.5..........and here's a photo http://www.flickr.com/photos/48028479@N00/1313946806/
Whilst I have not ridden Sundon Hill on a fixed (70") I have ridden Sharpenhoe Clappers (I reckon th… -
Sorry to miss it this year (gathering roses); it was a gas last year. Pleased you enjoyed it Vincent! Daniel

Theo has agreed to 2 up with me, well he said 'Erh, okay'. After agreeing he asked 'What is a two up TT anyway?' I told him it is where the stronger rider leads and his (or her) father drafts behind. Daniel

I have entered too. Hopefully I haven't forgotten any family plans! Daniel

Already doing two things this weekend, Dragon Ride and being on Skye. There is a geographic anomoly here, which I am fully aware of.

Thanks for this information Martin; and just the kick up the arse I need. See you on the North Bucks CC ride. (An event to 'confirm you early season fitness' or in my case 'confirm your early season unfitness'!)

The route is not reversed from last year, it is completely different. This year starts in Crewe, it was Knutsford last year (wasn't it?). I hope this year is a good as 2009; I thought the 2009 route was cracking. Mow Cop stays in, but those dammed…

This is classic footage. At 0:43 our hero is clearly trying flog team kit to someone. A subtitle of 'feel the quality, sir' is completely unnecessary.
-
Sorry guys, can't make it due to family comittments. have fun.
-
Entries are now open. Who wants to ride this fantastic event?
-
Ooo Vicar! I fancy a tart. Hope to be there.
-
I have entered this as apparently it is selling fast. BOOK NOW! It is a great ride.
-
This was an excellent event this year. I whole heartedly recommend this ride to everyone in CC Ashwell. The course is brilliant; flat for the first half and hilly for the second.

Here are my estimates of cost, based on the above schedule. Note it assumes £120 for two nights in the Pic Blanc Hotel, I assume self catering will be cheaper.
Flights £120
Pic Blanc Hotel £120 (share a double room)
Food £100Hi James. Please can I you reserve at least one ticket for me. I will request others ASAP.
DanielGeoff, Skelders,
La Marmotte finishes at the top of Alpe D'Huez. I assume you mate's place is in the ski resort of Oz. The (only) road does go down into the valley and so we would have to ride back up to Oz..... OR ..........take the cable c…Sounds good Skelders. Driving or flying depends on the vehicles we have available. My preference is flying, but it is not a strong one. Oz is just before the first climb; so 'on the day' we will pass it full of anxiety for the ride ahead!
Da…My preference is for self catering accommodation. This way we can control EXACTLY what we eat; I was suspicious of the not very warm pasta the hotel was supplying for supper (and breakfast). Self catering or hotel is one decision. The other is do …
