many thanks to all those that made a very enjoyable ride happen. I'm also astonished that none of the five spare tubes I took with me were needed, although having made sure we tackled the Ardley (?) 'Trench' on the way back I suspect I'll be scrapi…

I wouldn't mind another CCA outing if thats alright? (and assuming I'll be OK(ish) with 25mm Gatorskins?) I'll do anything for a badge.......... cheers Simon

thanks to all for a well-organised and 'fun' day. sorry I couldn't make the pub as I needed to get back so my kids could laugh at the state of me before bedtime cheers Simon

thanks to all for making today happen. I ripped my skinsuit just before the start so had to make a choice between 'racing' in thermal jacket or stripping back to my birthday suit; luckily for all it was as cold as it was! cheers Simon

Richard - I did my best to keep it close by getting a puncture on second lap that I thought I might be able to nurse to the end (but ended up having to change wheels) I thought the CCA tussle for second place was the best race of the day; keeping …

if you get the taste for that sort of thing, there's a SNCC Reliability Ride on 28th Feb - see here for info

no offence; I've been called a great deal worse by people who know me much better!

(cough, cough) 'Simon' glad you spotted my etching, I guessed you wouldn't want to follow my tracks off in the wrong direction. good effort on crossers in those conditions, made me feel a bit of a jessie for wimping out for fatter tyres & wid…

(unless its been repaired in the last couple of days) the little stretch of Pitsdean Road (at 14 mile mark) immediately after the right turn is more pot hole than tarmac - take care!

some great pics here, including a bit of CCA action https://www.flickr.com/photos/huwspics/sets/72157663358916076

I wouldn't mind jumping on again if OK; think I've just about recovered from last year! cheers Simon

just a quick 'congratulations & thank you' to everyone for putting on such a good event, and with a cracking course; the only one I've ridden that comes close in terms of variety, scenery and 'flow' is RAF Halton in Central League (which won the…

I can confirm that the Chocolate Guinness cake was delicious and well worth being strongarmed into having by the junior sales team big thanks to all for a well organised and enjoyable event cheers Simon

I've found that Garmin Connect no longer works with Chrome but that it remains happy to function with Firefox. What I'll do if that changes I have no idea!

my CX is sadly still in bits after a season of racing abuse so won't be able to jump on this time; hope everyone has a good ride and that the weather is kind cheers Simon
-
many thanks to everyone for organising, although if you could make a better job with the weather next time it would be appreciated! I'll try and track down who left the SNCC jersey before you use it as a duster ;-) cheers Simon ps - 4th place na…

I must admit to 'rescuing' the Garmin from the bin and leaving it on a table; as someone still rocking a 305 I still consider the 705 to be too flash to dump! thanks for a great day's riding cheers Simon R

I'm hoping to make it too

and yet just a couple of days before a UCI big cheese was seemingly saying MK was not just a goer but even that it would be on a Saturday to allow the national series to race there on the Sunday again www.nieuwsblad.be/sportwereld/cnt/dmf20150112_0…

I've been there today as a volunteer getting the riders signed-in and parking has already proven to be a problem as recent weather has prevented the planned use of some off-road areas for vehicles. Even some of the teams are going to have to fight …

looks like a CCA jersey is amongst the lost property left in the mud of Ipswich

thanks to all for a good ride and I 'almost' regret not having taken bets on being the first to bring us to a halt with a puncture (with my new puncture-proof tyres) if I manage to get all the grit out of my drivetrain, can you let me know if I sho…

and there was me thinking my failure to unclip left foot and subsequent knee-slide though the stream had (probably quite litterally) broken new ground

thanks for letting me jump on with you today. hopefully see you out again Simon

no problem; me & a few fellow members of a resolutely 'on road only' club like to have a bit of off-road fun every now & again.
would it be too cheeky to ask if the route will be available for us to ride another time?
can I assume you'd be happy for a few non-members to tag along with you for this?
