decent westerly wind. could head west to woburn/brickhills and then ride the wind home... having said that i am on pain of death for an early return, mothers day lunch, so may not make the full distance anyway. is it 08:00 or 08:30?

anyone know how far it is from the hotel to the start? assume you can leave cars at the hotel and bike to the start... earliest start is 08:30 i think

i've signed up too. goes through toot hill i see, doubtless past the green man where i worked behind the bar one summer quite a long time ago.... can always pop in for a pint for old times sake if the through and off not going particularly well.

it is indeed in there... rating a 9/10... where 1/10 is "hard" and 10/10 is "its all you can do to keep your bike moving"... lovely! couple of the climbs from the chilterns ride in there too i think
