thanks pete, though trust me you were not easy to catch, and guessing that was a good pb for you on a windy night, and you did the chaingang night before. so chapeau to you too.
the tt is definately addictive... can already feel myself s… -
i agree Tim. read his book and his arrogance is nicely tempered by his respect for his teammates and how guilty he feels every time they line him up for a sprint and he fails (which is not very often admittably). i quite like having a british sprinte…

i definately get muppet of the week award. forgot my two quid and cycled off into the sunset with my number still on. and for all that still got in trouble with the wife for being late back...
apologies, will drop both off to you tomorrow or f… -
great fun, definately one to repeat. thanks tim, and john for marshalling.
strappy - in the 20 tt back in march i started behind you, overtook you on northfields on the 2nd lap and finished something like 1 min 20 ahead of you. this tim… -
i think looking at the team award stuff on their website we'll get a silver team award. we were certainly very well represented with i think 11 riders in cca blue. a stonking effort by alex, deeply impressive. also by skelders narrowly missing out on…

got to start as a blue train havent we... aim to stick together as long as we can, but recognise it will probably break up over time given the unrelenting saw tooth of the profile.
weather forecast looks promising at this stage -
sounds good to me, will be there
-
am up for the team shot at 7:45, will probably aim to get there 7:15/30 ish
blimey just 5 mins longer for gold standard for us over 40's versus the 18 years olds... seems a bit tough.... -
excellent, i will look out for the cloud of dust on the horizon as you speed towards me

me too.

brief article in this months cycle sport mag, page 70, on the cobbled kemmelberg climb which featured on last years belgium tour and i'm sure will feature again. not many words but some good photos.

hi chris, think both the hampshire and chiltern rides are full, but may have waiting lists. neither of these rides are on the 23rd may when the primavera is, though i believe that is also full with a waiting list. reading between the lines i thi…

no worries chris, though the puncture getting the bike out of the car before we'd even set off was quite a special one. for the record, we started with 14 riders and finished with 9, one of those rides. punctures, hills ,wind, pot holes, horse…

Pete / Stuart, my number is 07749 801619 Cheers Stef

tim h is booked in already, he's number 21. as i say think we could add one or two more no problem with the hotel if tim prepared to add the extra car. any more than that and think we'll run out of space in the bike store room.

great ride, thanks to all especially martin for the lunch etc, and geoff/johan for the support vehicle and help with all the punctures (9 or 10? i lost count) etc... we couldnt have dont it without you. apologies for mot quite making it to the end of…

hotel is confirmed, 21 people half board with dinner at De Vrede as per last year,
at the moment we have 11 single rooms and 5 twins,
that fits with what everyone wanted in terms of sharing etc,
will be in touch in a while to conf… -

me + a mate, paul, for the 100 miler.
last year think we got back before 4 pm and that included an hour in the pub for lunch -
hotel - managed to get a small discount given so many of us.
they confirmed same room as last year for bike storage, its secure.
also checked out triple rooms as someone mentioned it on sunday
so if you share, save about £4… -
got some rates from the hotel. they charge quite a premium for twin room over single, so reduction for sharing not as much as i would have hoped. looks like saving of 50 euros /per person if you share, so about £45.

i cant make the pub on saturday either,
once everyone lets me know if they want to share or not (on doodle above, or stefan_dixon@hotmail.com if you prefer)
will sort the rooms.
dont think we short of offers, but if it helps i can … -
Good idea Martin.
Room preference - can everyone fill in on the Doodle Martin created their room preference,

thanks -
clearly as geoff says still plenty of time to organise,
but for the record, i offered to help richard with booking the accomodation.
last year we all had our own rooms. sure that will be possible again,
but if anyone does want to s… -
Tim regular medium for me too please, cant justify the pro given getting the etape special too!
if theres a tour bobble hat clearly i have to have one... -
Martin, yes happy to lead a group if it splits. last year think well over 20 started, a few split to make it a 50 miler, lots more split to complete a 100 k ride, leaving 11 for the full 100 mile. its a great route, hilly and scenic to start then the…

Well done Pete, seems like every sportive is selling out in advance these days. should be a breeze for you after your cheshire cat and london phoenix achievements. reading the forum both sound like great rides from the cca team. whereas i now need to…

this was a great ride last year, seem to remember about 11 of us got to the pub around 60 miles, 3 batted on , the other 8 of us had a quick pub lunch then a great ride home all finishing together. think i'd clocked about 110 miles when i got home. …
