And there was... Lovely cake and coffee at Jordan's Mill. Vic, John and I really enjoyed the spring sunshine and did 35 miles at 15mph, only held up for a few moments whilst we assisted the Law with a broken down car.
-
I have asked Heather (organiser) and we can have tickets reserved for us at £10 each which we can collect on the door. I'll ask her to reserve 8, as I assume none of us have them yet. Hope you're all swotting up on Ashwell! Thanks, Susan
-
Ah, sorry, should have posted that we already have 8 in this team, and that is the maximum the organisers will allow. I don't think there's anything to stop us putting in two teams though.
-
Super! I'll email Heather to say to expect a team from us. Thanks Susan
-
If there's a CCA team, Olly and I would love to join in.
-
Thanks for coming over this morning, I really enjoyed our sunny, chilly ride, the views today from Claybush Hill were astonishing. So nice to start the morning with coffee and Danish - thanks Adam.
-
I think that David is right to postpone! Olly and I are going out at 10am from home (Sutton) to do a loop through Baldock if anyone would like to come with us.
-
David has postponed the regular run, what does anyone want to do about this ride?
-
Saturday looks cold but bright. If anyone feels like a shorter, steadier run, then I really would like some company. No dropping or sprinty shenanigans allowed. Adam - he has.
-
Don't bother, it's been postponed until 2017. Despite taking the money, they haven't sorted out all the road stuff and need "more consultation". Humph
-
Hi Adam, I so enjoyed my SOLO ride yesterday. I won all the sprints because I was ON MY OWN. Who did I complain about the weather to? No one because I was BY MYSELF. And IT WASN''T RAINING! Sorry, couldn't resist the opportunity. Hope you had a goo…
-
It looks ok here at the moment. We're getting ready to come out!
-
Adam, if the weather is as rubbish as forecast, I will probably not go out. Will decide in the morning and post either way. Susan

Jenny, Roz, Lucia and I found some elements to be brave about and set off to do the Tour de Old Warden. Cake and delicious drinky things at Jordan's Mill were very welcome before a photo shoot near the Langford water tower (attempting to find a reall…

Yes! Well we don't have go far!
-
About thirty miles with cake stop. 9.30am Three Tuns.
-
Oh yes! We're still on, will post details later in the week when I get some better ideas about the state of the weather.
-
No, no, the cake one is fine (hot coffee, tasty cake.....)
-
Thanks for a good ride, so nice to be out again. Made it home just before the rain started, hope you managed the same!

I know a very good plumber who did some work for us, completely renovating our bathroom. He's not the cheapest, but if you want his number I can look it out. Susan

Jenny - whispered you Susan

Thanks for a very interesting evening. We raised £22.44 for recycle.org, a charity that supplies bikes to Africa. The £1 entry fees for the puncture challenge go to this charity too, so everyone please have lots of goes! The chorus of the Alf Enger…
-
Ah, yes..... See you later!
-
Thanks for organising this! Quite a scoop. Should we all learn the Alf Engers song then?.......
-
Thought it was a bit of a long shot. Perhaps later in the year then. Hope you all enjoy your weekend's cycling, and hope to see you soon.
-
I'm on my way, if anyone was thinking of an intro ride.
-
Thanks!
-
I'll tag along, see you tomorrow Susan

Thanks for a great start to my day. Adam - Wests in Bedford were truly shocking, I would never have a new car if that was the only place to get one from!
