Those are super pics, we had an olympic venue all to ourselves! Thanks to everyone who organised the morning, Lucia and I had a great time. We couldn't believe how slow walking seemed afterwards.

Thank you, everyone, for your kind messages.

That's a shame, but that's the day that Rapha have decreed the ride takes place! We could do it again, perhaps sometime in September. What do you think?
-
Thanks for a fab morning, especially to Tim for his time and tution, and everyone for the good company and general fun. And I agree, it is a, umm, "need", of course. Quite so...
-
Lovely evening for a time trial, thanks to all the helpers. I was one of the ones with a PB, although not in the same league as Mr. Woolsey! But it shows what an inclusive thing cycling is when a slowie like me can be part of the same event.

Here's hoping for a calm, dry night tomorrow!
-
An eggcellent ride this morning. Fastest I've ridden outside a time trial! Thank you.
-
I've managed to clamber out of the nest, so I'll preen my feathers and fly over to the Tuns.
-
Hi!, I can help too if needed. I have a big, yellow "caution cyclists" sign too.

Interesting show, my favourite was a really neat little Swallow town bike and that lovely thing that won the "best in show". Added bonus was seeing the CCA riders fly round the track. Topped the day off with a swim in the Olympic pool!

Thanks for this John, I can't join you this time as I'm off to the Bespoke show. Hope you have a good ride.
-
Thanks for a good ride this morning, nice to see new faces. We did about 20 miles at about 13mph.
Susan -
Tom - whispered back!

Thanks for a fab ride, David. The sort of ride when I could have cycled all day.
Susan -
I'm happy to do an intro ride on Saturday 5th April.

I'm happy, indeed keen, to take the Rapha 100! Will post the route nearer the time, but for those who came last year, I was thinking of roughly the same, with lunch at Waresley. All welcome, also tell your friends who don't normally cycle with us, a…

Both the ride and the cake are really good ideas. Sadly, Olly and I can't ride tomorrow now as planned. I hope you enjoy tomorrow and see you next week.
Susan -
Thanks for a super ride in good company, lovely to be out in the kind weather after all the wind and rain lately. Thanks too, John, for the route back to Hitchin.
Susan and Olly. -
Thanks to everyone who turned out on the Cake Ride yesterday. We had wind, (standard and gusts), rain, hail, squalls, black clouds and blue skies. Treated ourselves to early cake at Jordans Mill.
It would be helpful to have on the forum a l… -
Ok, cake calls.... Ashwell to Jordans and back again, not too long, not too quick, hopefully avoiding the worst of the weather. Susan

If anyone's interested, "mezmerised" by Essie is CCA blue!

Wow, cake two weeks running, may need to do three laps of the car park! The only reason I suggested the 8th was to avoid conflicting with the intro ride; once anyone new did the ride with Stef, they could come out cake hunting before subjecting thems…
-
Well, if we meet there, we could do a couple of laps of the car park, and that should be enough. However, if a bit of effort is required, we should meet in Ashwell! Then it'll be about 40 miles, certainly no more than that.
Susan -
Done! Looking forward to it, thanks John.
-
Ha ha, nice try! Let's have a cake ride in a couple of weeks, anyone up for the Jordans route on the 8th February?
-
Thanks for a lovey ride, especially to David and John who hung back for me when my legs finally gave out in Kneesworth. (Now renamed Legsworthless... can't imagine that's not been suggested before.)
Susan -
Thanks for a lovely ride. What happened to the photos that were on here earlier?
-
Just a reminder about this. If anyone wants to donate to Re-Cycle, I'll put a pot out on a table tomorrow at club night and make sure any donations get to them.
Thanks, Susan -
Thank you so much for your comments. I looked at the review, and also found some others later. I took the bike for a test, and guess what, it came home with me!

I'm happy to lead the intro ride on Saturday.
