Nice one guys, those are some fast times. Good to see watt all that training has done for you tom.
-
Jane, the juniors and I sometimes go out on 'mega rides' which are basically just an adaptation/improvement on the Chiltern 100 route, last time we got all the way to whiteleaf and back but still only 110 miles (although we did miss out Bison). If yo…

Sorry to hear this Richard, I know how much effort you put into this. However I'm sure I can look forward to racing it next year.

The Minouras are pretty similar to the kreitlers but are quite a bit cheaper (I'd go for them If I didn't have the tacx), Jet Black are great but a bit heavy. Minoura: 6.3kg (claimed) £130 Tacx: 7.7kg (verified) £130 Jet Black: 15kg (claimed) £11…

Or just get a pair of Kreitler s.
-
I have a pair of tacx which are fine. Very shortly after I got them the developed a loud rattling sound which I think is due to the bearing housing. I'd go for the elites because I think they are quieter and of a better quality.

Mark: See you at track league.
-
Neil I'll fix it but you might as well keep it once I've fixed it if you've only done two races on it.
-
Luke, if you give me the old gp4000 I'll repair it for you. (Offer stands for anyone else as well)

Evening session here

I had the chance to race there at a test event for 2012 and it was just amazing. You can watch the live stream of today's race here.
-
Well actually I'm glad you asked because I coated my track chain in paraffin wax.
-
Track League! Can't wait! Which tubs are people using?
-
Good to see Morrisons listened to my stock suggestion. Get hydrocolloid or alginate plasters, only way to treat road rash. Think of it as fixing a tubular tyre.

Don't worry nat, I got it.
-
Nat I have been looking into this myself. The Finished chain is run through a bath of hot Oil/grease solution, it seems to set like wax on the chain but it's not waxy which makes me think it's some type of grease. (I'm sure there is some sought of lo…

Sacrilege! The title read 'Chain Lube' not 'Water dispersant (which is in no way a lubricant)'
-
Wet lube. Dry lube we have found doesn't work. For track racing soak the chain in paraffin wax over heat then leave to dry. Maybe a little more hassle. Some people used to use grease on the spring classics but I'm not sure in the logic of that one. I…

Cheeky result guys, looking forward to mutual races

Also this is a family friendly forum, so please can we use metric units: Kilopascals/atmospheres/bar and stay away from the imperial hogwash that is pound per square inch.
-
Luckily Vittoria have an app for that. I keep a chart in my wallet for reference on race days.
-
Really Sorry Mark But I sold the saddle and forgot to update the forum
-
Last Chance before I post them elsewhere!

Great reports thanks Matt!
-
Great time John, shame about the sacrilege.

-
It used to be common practice but now it is not really done now.
-
Continental has no place on a tub thread, unless it's their track ones. The modern fashion is now to run wider tubs and wider rims for less aerodynamic and rolling resistance.
